Left 4 Dead
So, has anyone had the chance to play the demo for Left 4 Dead?
talk about insane! its exactly what a person would want in a zombie apocalypse survival fps! yeah!
and ya can team up with up to 3 other friends for some ultra sweet death grinding blood splattering co-op fun!

horray, but EA is making the port not valve, and EA is supprisingly horrible at ports consitering that 99% of all their games are ported onto another console.
apparently the Orange box port was done horribly with framerate problems and crashing.
course, the ONLY way to play a valve game is on the PC... PC=Free upgrades, 360/PS3= dont get any upgrades.

well first off, i got the orange box for the ps3 and really havent had any problems at all. maybe i dont notice framerate stuff (though i would think that i would) and its never crashed. could be older ps3 bc everyone had terrible problems with gta4 when it came out and it was specifically some of the older 60gb models.
that aside, i read an article the other day (hell if i can find it now though) that said the special ops mod for unreal tourn 3 could make it to the ps3, the people that made it i guess, all they wanted was a free ps3 to test it on. the way the ps3 works, i totally believe that mods would be pretty reasonable on it which is pretty cool for the future.

Well, you can safely assume he was cursing judging by the "*", so you can pretty much guess that he is bashing L4D.
Anyways, I personally think the game looks extraordinary, but lack a 360 or PS3, so I won't get to play it for awhile.

Left 4 Dead in 3D!
Everything old is new again!
First thing’s first, what you’ll need:
Windows Vista or XP
Nvidia 8xxx series or later
Free superbowl 3d glasses
Left 4 Dead
You will need to install some Nvidia drivers first.
1. Install 181.22 For XP ver 181.20
2. Reboot
3. Install Nvidia 3d Stereoscopic drivers 181.25 For XP ver 91.31
4. Execute this registry hack
What the hack does:
First it enables the use of colored 3d glasses (AKA anaglyph)
Next, it changes from the default red/blue lenses to the superbowl colorcode yellow/blue lenses.
And finally, it enables the 3d Stereo drivers.
5. Enter the nvidia control panel and enable the steroscopic settings in the stereo tab.
Start Left 4 Dead and enter a game. It should be yellow/blue 3D.

ive been researching 3d for quite some time.
that hack will work, but be very low quality 3d.
unfortunately Decent 3d costs like $600 (120hz monitor+Nvidia Package)
but yah, i cant wait for true 3d gaming.

DUUUUDE, dont know how many times i have to say this, but Valve games are MEANT to be played on a PC, due to all the extra content you will recieve later on that the consoles just wont get.
also: its not on the PS3, just PC/360
OHH Valve also announced: Left 4 Dead: Survivor Expansion
2 new campaigns, 1 new gametype (survivor!) AND for PC owners, a Campaign Creation Editor. (make your own maps)

but seeing as how TF2 got like 4 free expansion packs on the PC, yeah it makes sense for it to be free.

id say the atmosphere that l4d creates is going to be really hard to top. the fact that you can play a game with strangers and have honest crazy zombie moments... thats fantastic.
deadspace.... i never played anything but the demo, but i hear the repetition brought it down.
