Learning Jazz!
Hey I'm learning jazz now XD
I was wondering if anyone had any tips on playing jazz guitar? Any would be helpfull, especially on chord swithching XD

Well, like I said in my other post, I'm not a jazz musician But inversions should help with chord changes. Lol. Once you get good at it, get The Real Book. XD The biggest thing about jazz is learning all the keys and knowing what intervals will sound good, as far as I know anyway. I've played a few jazz solos and that's how I did it.

I know many basic scales,
and I know some open chords.
I know Major, Minor, Dom 7th, minor 7th and Major 7th bar chords.
I also know power chords.
If you give me a rhythm I could write it down.
If you give me written music, I could read it slowly but I could not play and read at the same time.

Learn about chord function< 9th chords, and 4-part harmony.
Also jazz has alot to do with phraseing. The way you play it is more important than what.
Best bet is find a few songs you like and learn them.
