I love this sort of stuff. The first run was a success, I'll be interested in the results.
The most talked about outcome of this is to find out what particles exist that we can't see and what gave birth to our universe. Fortunately enough I'm more into engineering and not physics, so even this stuff is too nerdy for me sometimes lol

I already posted a topic about this in Serious Discussion, Gary. It's called "Big Bang experiments could destroy Universe", although I think it's obvious that it didn't destroy the universe.

"I don't think you're supposed to smoke during class."
"This isn't a cigarette. It's just a lollipop."
"Lollipops don't make any smoke."
"No, that's just 'cause it's so lollied."

well... I like the scientific side of it but as a scientist, if I had the power I would have made sure it was never built... and this is only because the only useful reason this was created was for weapons research and with a more powerful partical acellerator they will be able to make more powerful A bombs

Lets go dark to see what we find, turn out the lights and start to loose our minds, so you can see its just a matter of time, untill they find you.
Lets go dark and rewind the night, to see what we loose when we close our eyes, the drum beats in time with their cries, it stops when they find you. |

yesterday all they did was accelerate one particle beam in one direction and then they tested it with the beam in the other direction they have yet to cause any collisions, once they accelerate the particle beams in both directions at once then there is a chance that "micro black holes" will be created if this does happen then there is a chance that the world will end

yeah, we're talking about this in serious discussion. That's the thing that they think will end up swallowing the world in a black hole even though it's impossible to do so on such a small scale.
