It's coming up to another academic year...
So what's everyone doing this year?
School? College? Uni? Work?
I'm off to uni this year to do psychology ^^
I'm really looking forward to it but i'm nervous about meeting so many new people @.@ apparantly i have over 200 people in my class :/
And i'm gonna start looking for a part time job... i know i wont find one here though XD

I am going to a university this year for psychology as well. ^^
Full tuition, room, board, food, and 1000 bucks per semester for books thanks to my Phi Theta Kappa scholarship.

One of my closest friends is starting Psychology this year too 
pintaheart congratulations on your scholarship! That's really awesome! You wouldn't have to worry about so many things, does it have any conditions? Like if you don't get high enough grade you become in danger lol
SirenSparx, there is no need to worry, universities are usually aware of the freshmen's issues, you will get pushed into group work, I doubt that they will give you anything individual in the beginning, those 200 will get divided, every uni student I know had this experience.
I will be starting my second year in Architecture this September, I'm very nervous too, it's an ongoing case ^_^

Oh, Phi Theta Kappa requires me to keep AT LEAST a 3.5 GPA.
But I had a 3.8 GPA from the Junior College I came from and school has never been a challenge for me.

haha, no it's perfectly normal.
In my first year we were around 140 and it was considered such a small class compared to other majors. We got divided into groups of 7 or 8 and worked that way for about 2 months.
My friend is doing business and his class is like 450 lol
Each of their lectures or workshops is divided into 2 or 3 slots, because we don't have big enough lecture theatres to fit 450, so maybe you would end up only with 100, depends on the capacity of the halls in your university. And then you will be sub-divided, my friend was working in a group of 6 for most of his assignments.
Yes you could feel a bit lost because the tutors won't know you personally, but it's quite normal and you will make friends for sure ^^
Sorry for rambling too much, I tend to do that >_<
P.S. I'm talking about UK universities, it might be a bit different where you live, but I am sure there are common grounds

I'm getting my associates in Science right now. After that, i'm heading for a bachelors in English.
Classes-wise, i'm taking: International Politics, some chemistry class, some math class, theater, and Jewelry/metalsmith.

@Crazed: Oh i'd love to do a class for jewellery ^^ Is it as fun as it sounds? I wanted to try my hand at blacksmithing but i never got the chance to in the end.
One thing i really wanna try is glass blowing. Is that what it's called? lol but i've watched it several times and it looks really fun ^^

Yeah, it's fun. A lot of hardwork though. My teacher's like, "NO FLOWERS OR BUTTERFLIES. MAKE ART, DAMMIT!" (i still do a lot of flowers, but they're artsy) XD
i've never gotten to work with glass. We concentrate on metal more. Copper, brass, and silver (though not much silver because it's expensive). -_-
Your arm is made of steal afterwards though. Our saw blades are like pencil lead. XD
