It's about time.
Well, I finally got my own computer. 
I just have a question. What internet provider would you guys recommend? I'd like to keep it under 30 bucks a month, with a little more for tax of course. I don't need any fancy stuff, just a connection.
EDIT: I don't have cable lol.

Well... ive only used comcast, my gf has optimum online and despite some trouble, both are pretty good and reliable (we both have cable)
you can get a pretty good price for that first year regardless of who you choose but id suggest going through your cable company as they might give you a good deal if you are already using their cable services for tv and so on.

I've heard, through unreliable sources, that Verizon gives a lot of misc. charges through its DSL. It kind of made me back off of it, that and its 1 year commitment, but I am still thinking of going through them.

I've got dsl, and its a heck of a lot faster than my cable. course, i'm paying like 65 bucks a month plus my phone. ahh good old centurytel
