G4 gave this game a 2 out of 5. I'm a huge final fantasy fan and I agree with them. The controls are poop, the graphics are awesome, the gun power up system is poop, and you can beat in in a day... but the graphics are awesome.

I love the CG and I'm a big FFVII fan. But I did think they ruined the storyline somewhat. I wish they would have just remade the original game with extras.

All I have to say is ...thank God I rented it T_T
The camera angles are crap and the controls are no better, and the constant cut-scenes were a pain.
It has some nice cutscenes (SOME) but I wouldn't buy it. Buy FF12 instead  Great Game so far.

You shouldn't let the opinion of Xplay judge a game on how good it is, especially Adam he is extremely bias. The only thing I watch for during their reviews is if the gameplay looks interesting to me. Some of the negative nitpick things they say about a game would not bother me. For example Adam bashed FF games in the past because of their stories, or because of the combat system.
They do not understand the genre and try to compare it to other types of games. That is like someone who listens to Country music only says that Rock sucks because it isn't like Country music. I used to watch Xplay almost everyday but their new set design and they way they act now is so cheesy and uncomfortable I cannot bare to watch any more episodes. I am always afraid that Morgan will trip and fall over those glass globes on the floor when she turns around and walks away.

Don't know how that has to do with the game being good or not, but they were right about the game being....not so good. I just...I was let down so badly...But I got FF12 AND WOW~~! I fell in love with Square Enx all over again ^__^
