Yes, to most people, at first the game is very confusing. But once you know who Tidus is, you will get the feeling of being him. This is most likely because you may realize how you would feel if you were him, trapped in a future world, where yours was destroyed long ago. I loved this game and felt it was a great new story to the FF series!
