Iglourious Basterds

I recently saw this movie, and thought it was incredible. Though it did slow down for a good chunk of movie, it was still very good.

Opinions?

I enjoyed it. long, little slow, but overall, i really enjoyed it. prolly the most ive enjoyed a tarantino film since pulp fiction.

wish it had more basterd scenes though, even more so because pitts accent was really enjoyable.

Old thread deserves to come back. RISE I say!

This was my pick of all the 2009 movies and highly recommend it to anyone. It didn't have as much action as I thought it might, but what I loved were the slow, gridning and suspenseful interrogation scenes with Hans Landa of the *'s. It was so well made.
Another nice touch was the diversity of people in the film. The English were oh so English, drinking their whisky to celebrate the organisation of a new plan. The Germans all drank Schnapps and, trying not to spoil it, they pointed out the different way that germans and englishmen count. Something that I learnt when studying German too lol.
I think the film kind of lots its way at the end, but you could tell it was going to reach a climax at one point, and it did.

And yes, Brad Pitt's italian was the icing on the cake.

"Lt. Aldo Raine: Well, I speak the most Italian, so I'll be your escort. Donowitz speaks the second most, so he'll be your Italian cameraman. Omar speaks third most, so he'll be Donny's assistant.

Pfc. Omar Ulmer: I don't speak Italian.

Lt. Aldo Raine: Like I said, third best. Just keep your *** mouth shut. In fact, why don't you start practicing, right now "

That scene = win on every level.
