Even though I wish that they will, I dont think they will release a new version until they have ran out of ideas and are losing money and ready to do anything to gain a few more bucks, which will probably be a while from now. I don't understand how most game developers never give what the demand asks for, I don't think they would lose any money over a recreation.

I think they might remake FFVII late in the PS3's or PS4's life cycle. That roughly fits with when they remade the SNES games for PSOne.

id be willing to bet that ffVII remake will be made for ps3. i dont have much to go on, but they did remake that cut scene from ff7 so i mean. they alreayd ahve started technically. im sure plenty of the ppl from square are interested and they all know that it will make money.
