I plan to build a new search feature here
The default phpBB search wastes millions of data for this large forum and just sucks up space and slows things down which is why I removed it a long time ago. The Google search is lacking, I wanted to give it some time to spider all of the content, hoping that it would improve but it doesn't. When I have more free time I plan to create a faster, more advanced search function from scratch that will allow you to search for exact topic titles and other filters (like the original version but better, faster, stronger). Do not hold your breath though as it will take a while to code and I have a lot of projects going on at the moment. Thanks

I have spent many hours working on this. Once I add the code to display the correct topic links, read/unread indicators for the icons, and smiley conversions, it should be ready I understand why the original devs threw all of the data into the database now. Running a search query on all of the posts takes a really long time. However I rather it take a little longer to run than to fill up the DB with millions of data to slow down everything.
