I just realized I have no idea what to do.
Today is my first day of college(only taking one class...Astronomy, only because I have a rider thee and back). Now I am thinking about how I have no idea what I will do once I get a degree, and what that degree will be, nor what it can even do. I know it will probably be something revolving around computers, but I still have no idea of anything. Where will I work? What will I be doing? Will my schooling be for nothing? I have never felt so stupid. I was always smart in school, good at most things. I don't know why, but I feel like I'm going to be walking in to a room full of people smarter than me.
Just freaking out here at work
Anybody got any calming words of advice?

Don't worry too much, the hard part is staying on the course. And contrary to popular belief, not everyone is smarter. If you work hard then theres not a lot of people who can beat you when it comes to exams.
And if you're stuck for ideas, ask around, or try things out.

well today is only your first day. you have plenty of time to think about this.
i assume you havent declared a major?
do you enjoy being a code monkey?
are you into web design?
Id say take some basic level computer'ish classes and see what you are A: good at and B: enjoy.
dont really think about the money.
most college students change their major at least 2 times so its all good.
inhale...
exhale...
repeat.

I'm taking this gap year, doing my course and then? Not a clue. Sometimes it's better not to plan for the future. Carpe Diem, my friens, seize the day. Worry not today for the world of tomorrow, nor yearn for the world of the past. For the only day within our grasp is today.
