1. they read/ hear something you write/say and feel like you need to be told that in order for you not to kill yourself.

Maybe it's a school project. there was an elevator i rode on the way to class that was covered in post-it notes one day. They said stuff like, "You're amazing!" and "I love you!"
I found out it was a class project the next day.

it was from 'anonymous'
and that would be very depressing. I just wish more people were nice. I mean, I was nice to all the special needs kids in high school, and i was treated like a freak by everyone else. but those kids loved when i came by, cause they all got hugs.
A small gesture can change someone's life completely. Like that little message, HAD i been suicidal, could have made me change my mind.
With my earlier state of mind (blue and self-loathing), it was a vital pick-me-up.
If one small trickle of water can turn into a river and carve the Grand Canyon, who's to say that one smile, one kind word, can't save one person's life? Even thousands of people's lives. It's happened before. It just has to happen again.
