I got very bullied for my height (I am quite short) in primary school, and one day I fought back (A bit over reactive, I threw a desk at a kid) but then no one bullied me again.
So, starting High school, the first person who bullied me happened to be about twice my size and I tried my hardest to fight him, but to no avail unfortunately. Still, he walked away with respect for me, and he never picked on me again.
If you don't react with aggression, be prepared to be picked on for life.

personally, i view that as a completely different battle.
If you're overweight, no matter what you do, you'll just get picked at more, at least that's what's happened in my experience. It just kills me that people are doing this to the point of others committing suicide.
Yet their parents see it as a part of growing up. It's disturbing how much kids get away with these days.

it's got an emulator site, you just have to dl the plugin. very easy, very fun. Tons of games, including a few FF. |

Part of it depends if you are willing/can stand up for yourself. But the teachers etc have to be aware of the limits of their pupils.

I've never had the courage or self-confidence to stand up for myself, and everyone knew that. only two teachers have ever stood up for me in my entire life. both in high school. lol
I was in Agriculture science, and it was sophomore year, i believe. Year 10. and we had just taken the club yearbook photo. This kid said something, i don't remember what, and i broke down crying. I stopped in the hallway where i was, hid behind and slid down a wall, and started bawling like a baby. a dozen or so people went past, then the teachers noticed i wasn't in the classroom. they grabbed the kid and dragged him out of the room to apologize to me. of course he was still a jerk to me, but not in front of those two teachers.

But the reality of life is that it will happen though. School should be the transition between being protected by parents and teachers, to standing up for yourself and being independent. No-one will be protected for their whole life, thats my opinion anyway.

That's why you and everyone else got bullied at school. Not because you're fat or ugly or weird. But because they knew that you'd let them. That applied to me too for a long time.

Kyu is right...if I went back to do it all again the first person who tried something...I think I'd turn around and flip out....cuz I feel like I've grown as a person... unfortunately in high school I was a meek little thing who didn't stand up for myself.
You just have to stand up for yourself weirdy...next person who says anything tell them to go f themselves XD

You don't flip out, cos flipping out lets them know they're getting to you. It's when you calmly approach them and backhand the kid across their face, them walk away as if nothing happened. THAT freaks them out.

Yeah, no one wants to mess with the 'crazy' kid. There is a huge difference between guys and girls though. Girls are more prone to mental assaults, whereas guys cop it physically. I would much prefer to cop a hiding than to have someone in my head, messing with my emotions.
In a way, School for a guy is just like prison. You either make a stand and drop the biggest guy you can find, or you end up as someone's b*tch for the rest of your time there.

I never had the courage to stand up for myself until school shootings became a thing. Then people slowly became afraid of me even though I hadn't done anything. And once people were auto-afraid, I didn't even really need the courage. ^^;
And 90% of my teachers did a crap job. besides 2 of them, all of my teachers from 1st-7th grade either did nothing when they saw people picking on me, or they practically started it. keep in mind that in 6th and 7th grade, i had 6 different teachers thanks to switching classes.
My 5th grade teacher let me stay inside and help her grade papers instead of forcing me to go outside for recess. And if she saw people being mean to me, she had a special desk in the back corner that she'd make them sit in for the rest of class.
And my 6th grade English/Homeroom teacher made anyone that picked on me do push-ups. He was also the coach of the boys basketball team, which was the sport most of the guys that picked on me played. So if they were continuously mean, he'd make them do extra warm-ups during practice.
Aaaahhh, i miss McBride. XD

I never even thought about dropping out or leaving. I figured the only way out of this town was the graduate and get a job far-far-away.
It's weird when i run into people that did give up and drop out though. There's one that's friends with a friend of mine. You think we'd get along because we've gone through the same thing, but mother of god if i could kill her and get away with it, i would....
