awesome
i woke up this morning, and i heard my nintendo Wii being played and Wii Sports...
i walked into the living room thinking it was my brother playing some games (he loves the Wii) and im shocked to see my MOM AND DAD PLAYING WII TENNIS!
apparently they have been up for 2 hours plaing with my wii...
this console is amazing.

another awesome opportunity offered by the wii..
apparently my dad told some of his friends that i got a wii.. and now one of them is giving me $40 to stand in line to get him one.
its only $40, and im helping my friends and family get wii's now. and im not charging them up the bunghole like you would pay on Ebay for a wii.
its going to go toward a new controller.
Unfortunately the ONLY store in the local area that i know is getting shipments of Wii in is the local Circuit City.. and since im prohibited from buying a Wii there (or at any circuit city) im taking my brother along. and we will split the $40 into $20 each.

... you are prohibited buying a wii from a store?
WHY?
i deffinatly want the wii 
if i would see my parents play a consule game i know i can get them to like other things like that as well...
that would be like, another step towards their mind controll XD

Seriously. I cannot believe people are lining up for a console. The companies (i.e. Nintendo, sony whatever) shouldn't allow this to happen but they do since it creates hype I guess. There's never been anything like this in Australia and I hope there never will be. I was able to get the psp on the day it was released but I just walked into the store like any other day and bought one. A similar thing with the gamecube, which was bought just a few days after its release.
I think the first ever midnight release was done in Australia with the Xbox which got on the news, so there's your hype lol. On the Nintendo Australia website they have announced a LOT of stores will be conducting midnight releases for the Wii. Honestly, I'd be too tired to not only wait until the store opens, but to play it by the time I get back home lol.
I was really thinking about buying a Wii and/or a PS3 either on release or soon after, but I think I'll wait a while until the prices go down and some more good games are released.
anyway good luck with the purchasing of another Wii lol

i work at circuit city, and to help make sure that the most wii's/PS3's are available for launch, employees are not allowed to buy the consoles for 6 months at circuit city.
im having my brother do the buying, im just going to pick up extra controllers (i can still buy accessories! W00t even at discounted prices too!)
yah we got the second one.. hope i dont get fired. a manager saw me hanging around and my brother used my phone number....
soo i need a good excuse.
