Hi there, after playing every single FF except FF11, i was rather disappointed by 12. Well, i kinda like this kind of theme, war,betrayal and such...but then......the character development in this game is rather weak i think. One top of it, i find this game quite frusfrating..but i believe many will accept this game. So i wud like to know your view~~
seriously, the game started off so well...i was really impressed with the opening and the narration as well. Well it just went downhill after that. The other thing that i don't like is the battle system..maybe im so lousy that the frusfration got into me. I'm having real problem with boss fights, money, etc.

lolz..you just need to find the rare monster as early as when you got access of West Dalmasca and steal uber weapon....that will deal with boss fights and money at same time..
Yeah I was getting a bit frustrated with the battle system in the beginning of the game, but you'll get used to it. But just follow Gusts' advice and you'll do fine.

the story is done like a movie, with the judges and stuff, it kinda coolm but yea......i miss old FF games when i play, not really random battles which everyone loved bout FF games, and the lvlin up is WAY to long and hard, i mean it doesnt have to be really easy like in 8 but it can be a little more simple.
I'm 21 hours into this game so I'll give my little opinion of it. I agree with Seraph that the game started off so well with impressive cinematics and story. Right now I just spent a few hours in the Yensa Sandsea area fighting those Urutan-Yensa guys. I stopped walking and asked myself "Why am I out here again?" I'm really lost now with where I'm supposed to go to progress in the storyline so I've resorted to hunting marks. *shrugs*. I guess when they made this game they wanted to give us the freedom of roaming anywhere but that really only works well when you play the game every day (like WoW lol). Guess I don't play it enough?
whats the rare monster? i need more gil and this boss is hard itm killed me all 10 timews i tried to kill it!
rare monsters are basically higher lvl and way stronger than normal monster..their appearance also differs from their race so you can easily see them...there are some requirement to be met to meet these kind of monsters...like for example you need to kill 20 wolfs and go to this certain place and then you will see the rare monster..you can get the best item on these rare monster by stealing on them...on the beginning of the game you can get gladius(45 attack with wind element) this weapon is available in the shop in the middle of the game but you can get it as early in the game if you steal it...

Dam man...no wonder i was having such hard time playing this game. U know? i find that this game is of FRUSFRATION rather than challenge. This is the only FF game where i drink potion like H2O (before my pary members learn the cure spell).
Actually the story and character development in this game does have the potential to be one of the best..we all love the world of ivalice don't we? AT the beginning..i was like.."oh boy oh boy, look at those chocobo knights, magicians..man..nice~~this muz be the best of the series yet"....you will not believe how fast that excitement went down for me...
