Ok so as you all know I play poker sometimes. lol
A friend of mine decided to get my signature on a piece of paper, and then hers, and then the rest of my friends. So there ended up being 6 signatures on this bit of paper. We all play poker and like to think that we are a successful team (I came 2nd on my local leaderboard last season ^^ lol) and so...We put this bit of paper up on ebay, promoted it with

and after 6 days and a lot of doubt from myself that it would not receive a single bid...It's now at $29 AU. A worthless piece of paper.
Nice! who knows, this may spur your poker career further! just think, invites to the grand, the bellagio, and all the other great casino's in vegas! a world series of poker sponsership, and a spot on Fultilt's Team! lol

maybe when you are a pro winning the WSOP tour they can sell that peice of paper for millions
as the first and only group autographs before you where famous XD

...That's not a bad assumption. But I wont become famous for winning a poker tournament. Yes I've won two, and they were good. But to be honest I don't respect poker players and I don't enjoy playing if my friends aren't playing. It's a game of complete luck. I got in the finals last season, only because I was folding 99% of my hands, and just making sure i would outlast everyone, and trying not to waste money chasing or anything. So while you can play smart (or stupid) it's a game of luck. Certainly not a sport.
And yes 45 bucks in USB is a lot of memory storage XD.
I'm amazed how its still going. BUT I've been told that one of the people who autographed that has actually been bumping up the price. We just don't know who the other bidder is lol
poker is mostly luck party skill
and its the skill part that keeps the professionals winning
otherwise we would all theoretically be the same XD
you have to play the hands based on the mathematical possibility that you will receive certain cards and thart your opponent will receive certain cards
make sure each bet you make is worth what will be in the final pot
find weaknesses in other peoples plays
find out how they play
do they play tight loose? aggresive etc.
so you can play of of them and know what hands they may have
to cover your own hands and not let too much away
you can make certtain plays specifically to see if anyone else has a challenging hand even if yours is weak, you could play a weak hand agaisnt a weak player and still come off winner even if he had better pocket cards
poker is as much skill as it is luck
if not more
since the only way you can be succesfull at poker
continuously
and in the long run
is to have what other players dont have
and that is the skill to play
not the lucky cards
sure short term luck can make the best hand lose but int he long run
a better player
will beat a weaker player

lucky is more than partly, it's at least half. I've gotten a guy to fold who had 4 kings because i had convinced him i had a massively good hand (i think it was like... a pair of 4s).
theres luck, and skill. but the psychological aspect is the art. the art of bluffing... making your opponent think you have something when you don't, or having them think you have nothing when you hold the nutz, god i love this game/

then you could play the mathematical percetages of getting a winning hand with you and your opponents number of outs with how much is in the pot
to see if the bet you are making
is worth the pot
if its a little pot
asnd the percentage to win isnt THAT high
in the long run you will probably lose money but if its a large pot, in the long run a risky move may pay out if the odds are ok
so you also have to adjust play depending on what you are betting on

It is a lot of math though, that and serious face deciphering skill. What's that movie... Reapers i think it is? Yeah, that oreo thing at the end might have been ridiculous, but it happens. XD
