I liked the ring in shadow hearts, choose an attack then a ring spins with three notches getting from the biggest to smallest, the better the attack the smaller all three notches would be you had to stop it on them to make your attack stronger ^-^

In Lost Odyssey you have to get one circle to overlap the other by holding down the R button. The closer you are, the more damage it will do.

Anyway. Turn-Based F.T.W! There is NO possible way ANYTHING will ever beat what the Classic FFs did. FFXII is a total and awesome -screw up- in every sense (except perhaps the Hunts).

Strangely, I find myself unable to disagree with any of that long post on the other site XD FFXII is IMO the lamest of the FFs I've played, what's the point of Gambits anyways? o.0; Why play a game where the characters FIGHT BY THEMSELVES

My views are pretty much 100% the same as Riku's, so to be blunt, FFXII is a flaming pile of doo. It is a mockery to the FF series, and I just don't understand how people can enjoy the battle system or any of it.
Ah, Legend of Dragoon, that is one of my favorite all time games. Sadly, my disc 3 now freezes up at the very beginning of it for some reason, even though it looks just fine. I'm thinking of taking it in to my local game store where they resurface games and such to see if I can get it fixed up.

I agree heavily with Riku. There really is NO POINT to FFXII's battle system. KH is deffinatly better. You have the option to not use the gambit system in XII, but then it's to hard to balence the characters and if you do use it then it might as well not even be a game. Though the KH battle system sort of defeats fighting with other characters. Sadly I think that what ever square does they will probably have to accept not having other characters battling with the main one.

Let's all face it my friends. Square should've stayed with Kingdom Hearts II Real-Time style.
I mean, f*ck, let's all sit and reflect. I mean, let's make comparisons.
FFXII is a joke. Like my friend Cecil said, it is a mockery. IMAGINE how good it would've been if they decided to make it KHII Real-Time.
Hard to imagine? Look no further. Get ya a$$ to YouTube and watch Gameplay videos of -DISSIDIA- Final Fantasy. THAT is how a Real-Time Battle should look like. Now compare that with the Gambit system. It is laughable.
