also you have to go on forums and comment to get another level up. but you've gotta fill your EXP gauge up first.

i may be wrong about this but he maybe talking about ff2 the game. you don't level up in the game when you do things in battle eg. attack your attack may go up at the end of battle.or if you take enough damage your hp goes up and if you use magic your magic and mp go up. now when i played the game i pwned from the beginning because of my past experience in rpgs but it had a negative effect while i had high stats in everything when it came to my boss battles my hp lvls were so pitifully low i died in one hit so i got annoyed. if you have a psx version it tells you in the booklet,

Getting to level two was the most difficult thing i've ever done on this game but after that leveling is alot easier.

there are no levels... depending what happens in battle determines what goes up... take enough damage = HP goes up... use alot of Magic = MP goes up... Attack enough times = Weapon Mastery goes up...
Anyone who has played the original FF2 would never say they achieved level 2 in a game with no levels...
If you mean the Final Fantasy 2 that came to the US shores on the SNES (ie Final Fantasy 4) then... o.O you dont know how to battle or something?! just wander around and kill monsters... it should only take like 5 minutes to advance if you fight enough...
