Unleash everything you have on him. Overdrives, Aeon overdrives (Bahamut is effective, i actually had anima at this point). Basically hold nothing back. If u still carnt beat him i recommend using the airship and travelling to the omega ruins and raising your sphere levels a bit. Just hang around the save sphere and battle but careful, monsters in here CAN kill you (great malboros, demonilliths) so save often.

Look just get all your Aeons on Overdrive, as soon as you start, cast Hasteaga, then summon any Aeon, except for Bahamut, or Anima. I recommend Valefor, make sure he has Break damage limit. Attack for a while till Sin is close enough, use Overdrive, then dismiss when you get the chance. Use Auron and Mental Break and that other break to lowed Def..lol forgot. Then summon Anima or Bahamut, and use over drive. If that is not enough, summon another Aeon and Overdrive.

Lol, the struggle to get there before that bar fills up. You also could use Rikku's Mix overdrive and combine 2 doorways to tormorrow and create trio of 9999. Always hit 9999 then and easy win.

I used the trio of 9,999 and then used Lulu's Furry got about 7 or 8 hits on it, i never really did like using aeons made it somewhat too easy

I mainly uses Lulu Doublecasting Flare. Does 9999 every hit, and since Yu Yevon can only heal 9999 everytime I hit it with that I slowly kills it. Takes some time but you win anyway...

Magic break reduces this to just over 5000...

the first time in my play through i just unleashed all my overdrives and attacks on him, then on my second play through i luckily mixed trio of 9,999, and if you wanna kill Yu Yevon without that guilt of using some cheap trick (type), i just kept using blitz ace on him, Tidus kept damaging him for like 35,000 each hit and i kept using Entrust so he could keep using it
