Hope's Distraction
I was planning , and am anyways, making a book. It will consist of many detailed chapters, with adventure, romance, comedy and the like. I dunno if I should post it here, so you will decide! After reading this first chapter sniplet, I hope you decide the fate of the story, Hope's Distraction.
Chapter One, The Disappearance
Part.
It was quite an average day. At least, until noon. Palletox was out in his back yard, though it wasn't really a back yard. He lived in a cottage, and there just happened to be a field behind it. He called it, yes, a back yard. Palletox practiced throwing his rusty shovel, seeing how far it can go, or how hard he can. Sighing, he gave up after six minutes, being weary already. "Paaaaaaally! Get out here!" The voice rang in his ear, the voice being very snobby. It was his friend, Peter, calling him by his unwanted nickname. Groaning and mumbling to himself, he walked around the poor looking cottage, past the spiritual tree and to Peter. Oh, a note about the tree : Palletox calls it the spiritual tree because whenever he prays there, his prayers are answered. Palletox scoffed and asked what he wanted. Peter cleared his voice. "Rose is missing." The voice was grim to Palletox, like the Grim Reaper coming up to him and telling him he must die, even though Peter said it carelessly. Palletox ran towards the woods, not knowing where to go, hope being distracted, wolves howl's in his ears, vibrating and glowing. He looked at the skies, hoping to find her, though a distraction seemed to be around the corner.
