Hope for PS3 remake still remains!
in gameinformer this month they said that there is still good hope for a remake
because in FFVIICC if u beat the game twice it says 2 be continued and they show
the FFVII ps3 teaser again...y would square keep taunting this? unless they were
actually gonna make it ....so i think theres a good chance of them making it.

The problem is that sequel and remake are 2 completely different things, the fact it says to be continued seems to suggest there are more endings, not the chance of a remake.

Even though i would love to see FFVII on PS3 (and i would buy it). I think it wouldn't be the same as the original version (like story line wise), and they will proberly add more stuff to the game, so it will be more confusing or less confusing i hope.
Anyway i'm looked up FFVII on goggle news and found out that Square Enix is thinking about doing the remake, but they haven't promised anything.I haven't checked lately so, they might of changed their mind or confirmed it.

yeh but the FFVIICC ends with FFVII begining there is no other game they could possible be making as a sequal and further proof as i said if u beat the game 2 times after the last scene it shows the FFVII CG trailer if they were making a "sequal" (which i know for a fact they wouldnt since it would make no sense)
they intend for the remake to be a sequal to the prequal
get it a sequal to a prequal would be a remake right?

Oh, I see now. You should have just said that from the start. I just don't think it would be the same. FFVII was the first 3D FF game ever. That has always been its special thing, and I think they would be taking that away if they remade it two generations later. Plus, then people would want remakes of VIII and IX. If Square Enix goes through with this, they are going to have more than they bargained for.

A. It should be laymen's terms.
B. A remake would just be the same game only with improved graphics and sounds rather than something like Dirge of Cerberus (sequel (what hapens after the events of the original game/book/film)) or Crisis Core (prequel (what happens before the original game/book/film)).
