hmm... is it even possible?
i was thinking just now about how there are no connections story wise to the ff games, but the series will have to end eventually, and with the end of such an amazing series, do you think they could somehow link all the games together into something that well.... actually ended it. i admit, its scope is grand and i doubt if anyone here could find a way to do it, but do you think its even possible?
and if so, how sweet would that be? (besides the fact that the series would end of course lol)

But the stories involve different planets, races and probably different times in the different universes.
But I reckon they could link games together...Maybe have a story similar ot Kingdom Hearts where a plague of....Things are sweeping the universe etc and they have to stop it, lol.
I'd like to see it happen too, the combining of characters not the ending of the series that is.
Fans would probably like to be able to fight other characters from different FF's against each other but can't see that happening.

I heard this ages ago somewhere , but they said that the director is ending the FF series at 12,
but who knows, maybe his old company members might bring up a new type of final fantasy but not using the FF name.
I like to see the combining of all aswell, but there is already one, called Kingdom Hearts, lol jokes.

they proberbly should collect all of the FF series and put it into one box and sell it as a FF collectors edition, this kinda saves time looking around the world on ebay or something, might even get discounts buying the whole. But too expsensive since its alot in one pack.

well, the way things are these days, with blueray discs coming out and so on, theres a crazy amount of space. so im better fitting all the ff games up to 6 would take minimal room and prolly ff7 and 8 could go on there too. so chances are they could fit most of the games on one disc as it is. this would lower production costs and of course the regular cost.

just a Note on the question of final fantasy and ending it , why does it have to end and hv you considerd the possibilty that they can just keep resusing the same world as a basis for each new game. If at the end of each sort of "era" in the ff world there was a cataclysm that reformed the land mass and such then you could just keep going with the seris forever.

they should make a good storyline game on ff, with 2 discs or something. Like what i mean is that, There is say about 2 nations battleing each other, and play as both nations but with different events during the game, ( this is where the 2 discs feature comes in)
E.g
Say there was one nations called the orcs, Put in the orc disc to play as them and batle the other nation Humans, so on.
At least this way, we can kinda actually understand more about the reasons they are fighting (this means that either side is not evil or good, )

what was it I saw a day or two ago where two groups battled over a peice of land, one country needed to space because his relm was over-populated, while the land actualy owned to the other.
Anyway.
I realy want to play a FF based on kingdom hearts without the disney characters(it was way too garish for me to like, even if I did love the battle system), maybe it could be like star-ocean, your some sort of space travel acomplishing race who lands on the various planets in the FF work, along the way stoping of at various places only vaugly mensioned in the games(the world of the espers from FF6, the land in FF7 the seph wanted.), the scale would be huge, but if its on PS3 it will run no problems and with the blu-ray disk-space to store the entire thing would still only be 1 or 2 disk.

omnishugo i have never heard of them ending FF on 12. I heard back in the day the were going to end it in the 20's (let us hope more). BUT the question i have is even if they end the FF series, do you think that Squaresoft (i dislike the Enix part so i am referring to the by their old name) would let such a noticable and profitable fanchise go to waste. They would probably just make a new series that was like FF but will be original and innovative in its own way. Maybe they will dip their hands in the newly emerging RPFPS (thats the Role Playing First Person Shooters) like that "Project Offset" game

since all the final fantasy games are different they could end it for a few years and then pick it up again tehy could end it with all the current characters but then they could make new ones

You know what when I first heard that Square-Enix was making a full movie (Spirits Within) I thought they would do this, and that gave me the same idea about how cool it would be if all of the characters in FF could rejoin. It would be like a KH game I suppose, but I doubt SE would ever do something like that since they are afraid to really take chances on ideas that could be awesome.
