I know this topic is two months old, but the board is freakishly slow, so...
Yes, generally you want to go with any spell without an absurd MP cost. Angel Wings works quite well as a LV33 mage, 90-110 damage for 30 MP.
I have about 3.5 mil in the bank.
Also, if you think it's hard to get money and EXP in this game, and that it's too slow, go play single-player RPGs for a few months, then come back to this. You'd be surprised how fast you grow levels. I haven't been on in a while, and yet I noticed that it's REALLY easy to level up compared to single-player RPGs. At LV33 it's not hard to level in 20-30 fights (takes maybe fifteen minutes). Level 33 in just about any other RPG would take hours
