HELP PLZ! COMP PROBLEM
When i try to play any pc games or other types of games on my comp they always freeze on me. Some people already told me to get a better version of directx but when i downloaded a newer version a bunch of files from my previous directx vanished and i had to reboot my comp to get them back. So can some 1 help me PLZ?

What is your system specs? Like CPU and RAM and stuff, do you have a video card? If so which one. What games are you trying to play?
how full is your hard drive, what speed does it spin (RPM's), have you defraged it lately?
were those directX files needed that got erased maybe they were obsolete?
just some questions before I can help you, maybe Thor is better at solving comp problems with less info? I dunno.

those are alot of questions but there is just 2 you need to ask.
1: What game is it?
2: Did you F**K it up?
if its a new game, it may not be compatable
if its an old game, it should work and probably is the computer
if he F**ked something up he may need repairs (or a reformat)
if he dident do anything, then its probably that his computer needs updates
when you are trying to update there is really only one question:
1: Who makes your video card
its either ATi or Nvidia.. if you say Intel. then give up as Intel cant make a video card to save their lives (they can barely make a CPU)
when you find out who makes your video card, you have 2 choices:
1: Go with the official drivers taht are guaranteed to work
2: Go with the Omega drivers, which are amazingly more powerful and can almost TRIPPLE your preformance of your machine, but may not be compatable with all machienes.
also, if it is a Direct X problem it could be that the card requires a DirectX9.0 compatable video card, and if you have something lower it wont run (or will run really poorly)
