did you not pay atension to anything orca said? you should level up first before atempting anything, and the best way to do that is to team up.
Also unless you are somhow loaded(I have almost 3,000,000) I would keep away from using various items that save time, a better weapon can save to much more time than escaping a dungeon or being able to see portals on your map.
DataDrain is your best freind, use it as often as you like provided you don't use it one infection is 100% as then you stand a 5-10% chance of instant gameover.
while the topics open does anyone know where I can by mutation from? I have the last two but realy want to play them in order.

another tip while I remember is to always trade up, swaping a level 1 twinblades sword with a twinblade could proberly get you a level 2 other weapon since the twin-blades are most important to twinblades, before deciding on any trade look to see what the least you can offer them is, starting with a golden axe which is rubbish you can obtain some truely valuble equipment with very little effort and a bit of patience(looking for the right people).
While I'm covering this you should note that only some people will consider items marked rare more valuble than they realy are, more low level characters and people looking for particular items will not be convinced into trading just because an item is rare(just like real life, only collectors understand an items true value).

Yeah i've played it and beaten it, but your right it's REALLY hard finding all those virus cores drove me insane!
I like the concept of an online game of it though, it had a pretty good feel to it.

i beat infection once but it got deleted ( i just got to the final boss and he is REALLY HARD)
the areas i list here you should open every chest in the dungeons because there is one rare item in the gott statue and another somewhere in the dungeon
more tips:
Delta (triangle) Voluptuous Her Remnant (L3). Its rare item is the Kagayuzen.
The next area is Delta (triangle) Hideous organmarket scaffold (L14).
The next area is beta ( Dog Dancing passionate tripansy (L19).

infection's hard? wait till u get to the last game's last dungeon 
always use 3 characters coz it shares exp all the same (1 monster 1 char 70 exp, 1 monster 3 char 70 exp to each, or 210 exp)
