.hack//G.U. Trilogy
Wow, it's hard to find any thread about this movie. I swear, to people not fans of the video games who stumbled upon the movie, nobody else would know it existed lol.
This movie is basically an alternate storyline of the 3 .hack//G.U. video games on the PS2. The visuals are stunning. Final Fantasy Advent Children went the more, reaslistic way. As for the .hack//G.U. world, it's an MMORPG, so characters look unrealistic, but they're soo vibrant and colorful and pretty. CGI is awesome, and I couldn't imagine watching in HD could look prettier or I'd burn my own eyes.
For those not fans of the games, you probably won't watch the movie. Even the american release, it's still only english subbed (English Subtitles with Japanese Voices). But for those that love anime, truly, that shouldn't be a problem. If you aren't a fan, you'll pretty much see a couple really cool fight scenes mixed with sort of a love-triangle, revenge, and a twist..
For fans of the games, you either already know about the movie, or will watch it just to see more CGI of the characters. (I played through the games, they were too easy but I kept going just to get to the next cut scene)
BASICALLY.. I want to know.. who has seen this movie? What are there thoughts?
AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD... WHAT DOES ANYBODY KNOW ABOUT THE TEASER ENDING!?!?
At the very end, past the cut scenes, there are a couple more scenes that hint at a sequel.. I have dug and dug and cannot find anything about it.. Can't even find people commenting about it.. Has really nobody else bothered to see the end of the credits but me? =(

Lol, yes there's a movie! It came out in Japan in 2008 but only recently (Like, less than a month ago) came out in America. ".hack//G.U. Trilogy" you should definately look it up, I'm sure it's streaming somewhere..
But see what I mean by it being so unpopular? They put a lot of work into the movie and almost nobody has ever heard of it. >.<
