Gunz The Duel
Has anybody else played this game? IF not, lemme recap for ya...
First off... Youtube the trailer...
It's a PVP MMORPG... It's kinda like Audition online, or Grand Chase, where you make a room, people join, then you start the game.. You kill for exp and to improve your rank.. Higher levels means better gear to buy.
Melee = Dagger, Katana, Lighter Dual-Wield Katana's...
Thrown Items = Armor repair, health repair, grenade, smoke bomb, flash bomb
Guns = Magnum/Revolver, Shotgun, Rocket Launcher, Pistol, Sub-Machine Guns, Machine Guns/Assault Rifles...
Handguns and Sub-machine guns can be purchased both single or dual-wielding them...
BUT ANYWAYS... It's fun.. Wall running, dashing, blocking bullets with Katana's, team play, free for all, in mansions, prinson's, street's, ect...
There is a new PVM system however it still needs worked on.. There are also boss's but they require higher "Quest Levels" which you must be higher level to obtain, but PVM can get old fast, since you must replay the same dungeons over and over and over to get the items needed for a boss, or just to level up high enough to take on higher Quest Levels... When it gets hard, IT GETS HARD...
Best part about this game? Free! There is the item mall, which EVERY free game seems to have now-days, but they are more for look than enhanced powers, so you don't have to worry about a level 5 rich guy with all this bought gear beating any level 10 free-to-play person...
Though warning, there are some draw-backs... You start off selecting your class, but so far, besides deciding what starting items you get, class's do nothing... Also, Levels matter very little. Level 2 skilled could easily take on a level 69 noob who got that high only through PVM...
But w hat MMORPG doesn't have draw-backs? Just look into it... Even if not for a serious RPG like WOW, just try it for fun or watch a trailer, =P

There was a thread that was already like this, and GunZ sucks because Ijji took over and then it got loads of private servers because of the gay security system Ijji has..
And i might be playing GunZ 2 if the Korean's don't give it to ijji again.

Edit:
No, there are no other Gunz topics, at least by Name. If they are disguised under another name other than "Gunz" or "Gunz The Duel" or anything of the sort, then it's a generic/open topic, where as this is a specific topic, focusing on only 1 game, ultimately making it an original topic. =P
Anyways, Gunz The Duel doesnt' suck. Ijji might have it's issues but it's still only the middle man. Once you get in the game and play, you don't think about who's the new 'god'. And Private Servers are never a bad thing. Just means more places to play, of which may have customs that the original game doesn't.
Though I think they should imrpove Gunz 1 before they even attempt a Gunz 2. I haven't youtubed Gunz 2 yet, but if there aren't major, super, magical improvements, then it's a let down. =/ No point in throwing in a new batch of cookies if the old batch isn't even done cooking. =P
Besides, where else can you find that type of action? That type of freedom of PVP? Alot of MMORPG is just a double click or click and hold, and the person who is higher level and/or has the better equipment, wins. >.>

Not heard of it, although I can tell you Grand Chase isn't primarily PvP. It's more of a mix between PvP orientated and PvM orientated.

I know Grand Chase... Wish it was kinda like Maple Story where it was free-roam style instead of room to dungeon with/without party style. =/
Gunz the Duel is pretty much like a Matrix MMORPG. XD It is true that it needs alot of work, but it does have a good base!

disliked it cause of the low amount of things, not many new maps, took a long time for quests to be implemented, and even those got boring quite fast...
then there's those glitch arts, they kinda give it the style it is now, but butterfly is so hard to perform, and pretty much unbeatable...
(except when you just spray... worked for me <.< )

Well I know that it took forever for quests to be implemented, and it was only mediocre.. That's why I find it odd that they have a Gunz 2 in Korea or w/e when the first one needs major improvements... The only reason I can think of is that Gunz 1 needed so many improvments, and they add things extremely slowly, is because they are working on Gunz 2 and pretty much gave up on Gunz 1?
I can't do the Butterfly though.. I can do the wall climb. (Jump off of wall, dash, slash with katana, jump off wall, dash, slash with katana, ect) Which is a MUST for the stairs level of quest.. And I know that the best melee type of combat is jumping in the air, then dashing forward while slash.. So you're cutting the enemy and jumping over them/past them so they can't hit you very easily...
And Wolf Online, huh? I'll definately have to try it. ^.^

The wallclimb can be semi-difficult if you have any lag... You'll miss a step and either jump too far back, or you'll slash wrong, ect.
Guess I just don't block much.. I mean.. you can get hit when you jump, when you dash, when you shoot.. So that's only 1/4 of the time you actually are blocking, and the blocking doesn't even work for explosives... Just doesn't seem that invincible to me except the constant movement, but most gain that by sacrificing accuracy in their own shots... I've seen two people butterfly style go at it and it took forever.. IT was like a hundred keys pressed to do a sliver of damage. >.> It looks great but I just don't see how it's that effective from someone with grenades/rocket launcher or from someone who showers them with bullets. >.>
