Gun Blade -Is it adapted from FF VIII
On watching the trailer I could observe that “lightning”-the main lead- is using some form of Gun blade. It seems as if the Gun blade , seen in FF VIII, is used again with certain modifications that involve more sophistication than earlier.
Well waiting to see how would that Gun blade come out.

Well the Gun blade shown in Final Fantasy VIII is worthy to watch and easy to use. It allows the user to make use of the shot gun along with the strike of the blade. Looks like the same concept with a difference has been used in the forth coming FF XIII.

Final Fantasy VIII is seen with the Gun blade that caused critical damage to the opponents in the battle field. Had the swing of the blade missed there is every possibility of the shot gun being firing,following the swing, at the opponent to cause enough damage.
The trailer with “lightning” using the Gun balde is already effective .
Would hope to see the best on Gun Blade when the game is released.

This weapon that lightning has seems to be more a gun+ blade meaning it can turn into a gun, rather than being a sword with a revolver/pistol hilt which sends shockwaves to the gun and blasts them. at close range.

Yeah, Lightning in FFXIII is the reminiscent of Squall's gunblade in FFVIII but modified in a way of its setting. It can change to a hand gun or blade.
Now, who can tell me the similarities of the first three posts in this topic?
Hint: They all end the same way.

Yeah . The basics are the same with minor changes. Clear adaptation of the earlier Gunblade.
