GTA IV!
ugh. its coming out tomorrow you guys. and up until a couple weeks ago, i didnt really care. i was planning on getting the ps3/mgs bundle pack but.... i think i might be tempted to go out and get gta4 and a ps3 tomorrow. what do i do!?!?!
im not even gonna lie... it looks soooo good.
p.s. anyone with any knowledge, is there a big difference between the 360 version and the ps3 one? (i know the 360 offers downloadbale content for sure but i think both have the online play.)

well i dont have the 360 or the ps3... and ill want metal gear solid which as of right now is only on the ps3 so.... i think im going that way regardless. most of the things on 360 you can get for the pc as well so.... meh. my real dilema is should i wait or get it tomorrow? lol

It came out today in Aus. I'm not interested in it though, I was able to resist the urge to get a PS3 while GT5 Prologue came out, but I will get a PS3 eventually.
I don't think there will be any difference in the console versions, if it's being released on the same day for each console then they put about the same amount of time into each game. I would go with a PS3 version solely because it has a blu ray player.

i really dont have a reason not to get it tomorrow (the 29th). assuming i can fidn the game and the 80gb system model, ill prolly do it. ill easily cave i think.
and stap as for gt5 prologue... its not even half a game. most of the stuff you ahve to buy so that never interested me. for instance you have to buy most of the tracks/cars as downloadable content i do believe. once the real gt5 comes out, that will be a must as well.

Woah lol. Well that's cool. I usually cave easily but I just had too many ps2 games I hadn't finished yet so the reasons to not upgrade were far greater than the reasons to splurge on a new console.
As for GT5, well it being a prologue did put me off, since there are only 6 tracks. But I have only completed 18% in GT4 (10% 2 weeks ago). Graphics honestly don't really interest me that much, and GT4 has pretty good graphics on my el cheapo tv. So I won't get a PS3 until i have either gotten 100% in GT4 (and by jolly I WILL) or when GT5 comes out.

well gary, i know the 360 version will have downloadable content on release for users to buy... but i dont feel like im missing out in that department.
and stap... splurge is indeed the word, but in reality, im getting it either now or in june.
as for getting 100% in gt4... i wish you the best of luck. i dont think i got past the 70ish% mark.
and also, im not really interested in graphics. if somehow (clearly its impossible bc of disc size) the new gta4 or mgs4 came out for ps2, id get it on that. but alas, that was not meant to be.

I wish I was already in the stock market I would have invested everything into this game I am sure it will be a sellout everywhere. Hopefully they will release a PC version since I will not buy a PS3 or 360.

I don't like how Sony and MS are forcing gamers to pay high prices by adding useless PC capabilities to their consoles. If the 360 and PS3 just offered a game console they would be priced normally and after all of these years would probably be at the $199 price by now. Plus it seems like you have to wait five years for an average overhyped game to come out. FF and GTA are one of the few must have games imo. I know many will disagree and appreciate their console but I just don't think it is worth it especially if you already own a nice PC that can do everything the consoles can do and more.

i totally agree there, i love my retro consoles, snes etc, genesis, but the new ones... other than the wii, the last console i bought was a standard xBox, and i hacked it to use as a media extender for my home domain, so it can allow me to get anything from the server that is a media file in any of my rooms, (as long as the xbox is in the room obviously!)

Yeah you have a good point Fun. One of my mates has a ton of wii games on his pc lol. Including Mario Kart and guitar hero.
