i've only had 1 green and used it to catch a chocobo and failed  , maybe different greens have different chances of catching them...

About prices, well I´m not sure... But I think around 40-50k?
EDIT: Just had my first Chocobo catching experience... Lost 4 greens and the damn bird almost killed me, had to run away
