It is funny, I always say how it is all about the gameplay, but then when I think about it all of the games that I have played that had amazing graphics, had great stories as well. (All except the ending of HL2 which broke my heart) heh I am still shocked at Resident Evil 4, man that game looked amazing and was entertaining the whole time with tons of replay value.
Im there with ya (there with you on HL2 as well). Id say tho if i had to pick on over the other id say story 100%. I have a good imagination. graphics are nice but in the end the story makes u keep playing and brings you back to play again!
Yup, and why dont games do like they did back in the day, (RE4 did this) where after you beat the game it gives you a new objective to replay the game again to retreive cool items? Goldeneye had the most reply ever, every level had a unique goal to unlock something extremely pwnage.
yes!!! you hit the nail right on the head, its all about story and replay value in the end because if its only good for one time play it will never make big bucks or make a good fan base, therefor; you wont be able to sale any spin offs as well.

Yeah, since FF9 i've noticed a steady decline, FF10 was a good show but from what I've seen from ff 10'2, what? Girl Power? Pop Singers and Songs!? Excuse me my niece has her verison of Pop Idol, guess I don't need to send her FF10 -2!! 12 looks a bit of to me but its oes seem that there trying to go old school again cause it reminds me of playing FF4

lol but I find sports games are boring probably cause I don't like to think about stradegy or whatever u have to do. I've never played resident evil in my whole life and I SWEAR I will NEVER play that game.... Not cause the story is bad or anything but I'll have nightmares even having that game in my room!
Same here whenever i played that game there should be someone watching...like a friend beside me...i got scared of the zombies..and i never played it at night only daytime...

To be honest games or movies never scare me, however RE4 is one of the best games of all time IMO because of the nonstop action, highly detailed graphics, cool new camera over the shoulder angle, very long game, and replay value.
lol I couldn't even play it if all my friends were with me, I get scared from these kind of things pretty easiliy movies and games, I think its from watching the movie Resident Evil, sooo the game must be a whole lot more scary.
