Yeah. But i reckon, something similar to a war like ff game would be awesome. Maybe showing you what the battle between Zanarkand and Bevelle.

Ok, back to the matter at hand. There are three basic things every FF needs, then you build the story from there.

1) Cool, mysterious, sinicle, emotionless, protagonist and Psychotic evil, incredibly intelligent, powerful, antagonist.

2) Love story that eventually turns protagonist around into caring about the:

3) Welfare of the planet threatened by pyschotic evil guy who has massive power and motivation to destroy everything.

I don't know what everyone elses preferences are, but I prefer low tech, high magic, high danger outside of village/city walls, huge beasties, evil mist is overused so you should go with some kind of rage virus...

Now that I think about it, FFXII has none of these things in it so far... i'm only half way through though so we'll see...
