for the wii, yup, i gots it, and it's awesome, online play feels pretty good too, games last like 10 minutes or so, so online play really is a pick em up and put em down game, the story line's pretty solid too, sneaking around, though that often fails and you still end up taking the machine gun to mow down the soldiers
story itself's good too, i never played the original goldeneye on the N64 but apparently they made some adjustments to get it up to date
i'm not sure if there's a difference between EU and US versions for the online play or if they're connected together, so i can't say anything about that, but it's a really good shooter for the wii, supports several controllers (classic controller, GC controller, wiimote + nunchuck and wiizapper)
i'm playing a lot on the classic controller pro, cause i can't be bothered right now to aim the entire time, work's given me a bad wrist lifting up frying baskets all day long so can't say how the others play, but i'm loving it so far

actually mabus, i WOULD recommend it to the old fans too, i've read a lotta reviews of people that played the old one, and they were pretty excited about it
it IS a shame they took out pierce brosnan, cause he was a better james bonb in my opinion too, however, daniel craig doesn't do too bad
and to be honest, as you can see in that video... you can't really tell it's pierce to begin with <.<
i mean, even in the old credits it just says "james bond" not pierce...
lol
and there didn't seem to be any voice acting in it XD
which i have to admit, i'm usually not very fond on voice acting, but in Goldeneye, as you can see again in the video, they've done it pretty well
having the option to do most things stealth, melee attacks etc is also quite fun, though the only thing i have considered a downside (though i haven't tried fixing this in the settings yet) is that it's very hard to make out where the opponents are in dark areas.
as for arc, the multiplayer is pretty easy to get into, i find Goldengun to be my favorite so far, it's an all vs all mode with 1 goldgun on the map which has infinite ammo, 1 shot before reload, but also an instant kill and gives 5 points
the one holding the goldengun however, can always be seen on the radar so you usually don't hold it very long, lol
it also has a level up system, kills give XP, certain achievements give more XP etc etc
by leveling up you unlock weapons pretty much like the latest COD series do
so the only thing that's quite annoying about online play is that the higher level people have better weapons etc as you do, but you can still mow em down with lower tier weapons if you're good, lol
i actually got a Wii LAN Adapter after buying this game so i could go online in my room too
i think that most of the upsides of the game make you kinda forget you're playing daniel craig, besides that, it's an FPS, so you don't really notice him untill the cut scenes...
i think Mabus should at least give it a try, borrow or rent it or something.

well, the online game was a bit getting used to, i mean, the buttons are exactly the same as in single player (which you can configure into several ways you'd like in the options menu) but as mabus said, short matches allow you to get through a couple to get the feel of it
which is what i did, and i can't say i'm really good, but i manage to stay alive quite well lately, though unfortunate spawn kills suck xD
you do spawn in different places all the time, it's just when someone happens to pass by and shoots you in the head you're pretty much a dead man the second after
i tried split screen with my little sister, and that's pretty fun too, i can imagine it being better with a bunch of friends, there's a lot of customizing there too (i pre-ordered it on amazon to get a invisible mode for split screen which is quite funny)

i know, double post = bad...
but i just had to post now
i just finished the story mode on the easiest mode
and i have to say, the entire play was pretty epic, it builds up in difficulty graduatly, meaning you start off pretty easy, but near the ending you get such swarms of enemy soldiers you really need to consider tactics, you wouldn't believe how many times i redid the chopper moment and the final battle
the (standard for these days) cut scenes where the player is require to push a sequence of buttons to fight back were really good too
now, supposedly there are time runs you can do for cheat codes, so i have to look into that, listening to the credits now cause it's actually tina turner with goldeneye
