Well for what it's worth, Odin was always easy ta beat, now Gilgamesh (in that piece of crap I like to call Final Fantasy XII) the second part of the fight against him is a freakin pain.
There're some rumours about characters' compatibility and characters stats or level determining Gilgamesh's four type of attacks. I still have no idea if its true, having higher levels increasing chances of Gilgamesh's Excalibur and Masamune attack but what I've learnt my characters level are all below 15 (minimum was 7) and the most attack Gilgamesh uses was Zantetzuken (Odin's all hit KO move).
And yeah, Gilgamesh does appear in boss battles...wished he used Excalibur (deals medium damage) or Masamune (9999 hit!) but ended up using Zantetzuken which always misses when hits a boss lol.
I hate them both because when your trying to turn monsters into cards or draw magic they cause you alot of problems because they have a tendency to kill your enemies grrrrrr....which made it take longer.

Lol, I kinda agree with this. For low level strategy players, killing monsters can only result gaining EXPs...happened to me many times. Wanted to get moon stones (from Elnoyle) and also card Elnoyle for Pulse Ammo at Eshtar but Odin had to show up and puff the screen with lots and lots of unwanted EXPs.
Thats when it all ended with L1+R1+L2+R2+Start+Select.

Seymour: But there is no salvation for the damned! Rest in peace in eternal darkness.
Lulu: No matter how dark the night, morning always comes, and our journey begins anew.
Rikku: Memories are nice, but that's all they are...
