Gaia Online... One Big Joke?
Ok, Let me start off by saying I HAVE played this game. Orothe_OWA as a matter of fact, because Orothe was hacked. And now Orothe_OWA was hacked as well, quite a while ago, but I'm not complaining about Gaia Online's poor security...
I have gotten really bored and decided to pop back on to chat with some old friends... Well, have to make a new account right? I click on Register, and it tells me to Enable Cookies.. ok, so I lower my security to allow more cookies.. Same error.. I enable all cookies.. Same error.. I put all my security on minimum or off, whichever was the lowest setting for them, and same error.. Took down all firewalls.. Same error..
So you can't register? At all? No new members are allowed? Yeah, *Sarcasm* I've heard of alot of games getting big by doing that. *ends sarcasm* >.>
Well ok, why not just try recovering the password to Orothe_OWA? *clicks the help login link* Hmm, I get an "E-mail: (Blank space)" Ok, *types in E-mail* And what I get is "That is not a valid username" oh.. So they want a username.. Must be a typo then.. *Enters Orothe_OWA* Then I get "That is not a valid E-mail format" ... So now it's playing games with me?
Alright then, let's contact them! *clicks on Contact Us* Ok, problems.. Let's see.. Didn't forget password, I got hacked, so that's not it.. Hmm. Log-in problems, that'll work..
Now I get a bunch of random questions like "Who was involved".. ME and the site.. duh.. "What about your username?" Ok, right there you eliminate EVERYONE on the OUTSIDE of gaia to get help via E-mail because you MUST have an account to Contact Them.. And You must do it via the form they provide, NOT by a physical e-mail address..
Seriously, has Gaia turned into a game where, If you get in, you win? I'd like to hear anyone else having this same problem, or has an opinion on gaia.. However if you're here to promote www.gaiaonline.com then I'm going to beat you with a stick, you pre-pubesent horny little preteen. >.<
AND that just reminded me.. Anybody who has ever played knows that over 50% of the members are kids looking for Cybering, and 40% are Pedophilia's looking for their hook-up.. My friends and I were probably 5% of the reamining 10% actual good players just looking to play the game.

I get on Gaia once in awhile but I got tired of the idiots on there. I'm only on there because I have a couple friends that I talk to and I'm part of a guild that's actually pretty good. I completely agree Gaiaonline is pretty much a joke everything good costs real money and if you have a different opinion from the admins they ban you and say you were doing something wrong when you weren't.

I visit quite regularly, great entertainment value, especially the lifestyle discussion board.
It's the only place on the interent net where you'll get prissy puritans, people who with they were vampires, furries, scene kids, weirdos, and a dozen level-headed folk.
Any thread about sex has some really interesting responses.

It's because they all want attention. Either for being sexual and trying to turn others on, or wanting to look 'cool'... Like I said, they are mostly preteens looking for Cybering, or they are old perv's who are preying on the preteens. -.-
And you can get all those types of people on any public forum. o.0

Gaia doesn't pay attention to their threads unless something gets reported...they're more focused on getting people to pay for Gaia cash...and making money of people who'll pay real money for a bunch of pixels that they don't need.

here's my deal with Gaia.
I joined when i was a kid and then got off. My current account is one i made because i forgot my old account and password. When i rejoined, i was recruited directly into an rp that my friends were in. From there on out, most of my gold income is from rps that friends i made in other rps invite me into.
Because of this, i am able to avoid the newbies and n00bs for the most part. If you go into towns, THEY'RE EVERYWHERE! forum discussions aren't safe either, so i avoid them as well. Gaia is slowly becoming a joke because of the way it's being abused, but i believe it's getting darkest before dawn. Once the kids get it out of their system and leave the hype alone, it will leave the people who truly love gaia and the people there and survived the insanity.
And yeah, the security sucks. My friend was hacked about 4 times in the past 3 years and reported all of them. Also, there was a guy who was going around posting porn in forums who she reported. The result? She was banned for a month for hacking that she didn't do. But knowing lanzer (who i don't quite like) and the rest of the crew, they just weren't ready for the rush and were overloaded.

Funender is so much better than gaia, even though it doesnt have towns or anything like that, at least FuN and the other admins actually communicate with the members if somethings wrong, also i hate how Gaia tries to force you to buy items with real cash or buy cash cards, the games MMO sucks, ive never seen a more glitchy, crapped up, butthole game in my life...freakin' lanzer probably doesnt even test the crap before he releases it!
one more thing, the players...oh my gosh...i have never seen more immature, mean, stupid, idiotic, butthole, probably a bunch of fat 40-year-olds, group of players in my life!
All the mempers there are either stuck up butts, or dumb @$$es, there were some pretty cool friends i had on there, but most of the kids on there either wished they were vampires (what the crap?!?) or were goth freaks who always posted demonic crap on their statuses! WHAT THE FRIGGIN' CRAP!
the graphics and effects are all out of proportion and i hate it. period. done.
