alright.
this is how i feel. final fantasy X is the greatest game i have ever played, it has all the qualities i look for when i want a game, a good storyline, good game play, good voice acting, and good graphics. i loved every second of every minute of it.
when i first heard about the sequel, (about a year after beating the original) i was exstatic! a sequel to my favorite game of all time! i couldn't wait!
but then i started hearing rumors of stuff like adding guns and going away from the original story line. i wouldn't and couldn't belive it.
then x-2 came out. i have never been so utterly crushed before in my entire life. the game SUCKED! (pardon my french) it was a shallow grand-theft-auto-dress-up-third-person-shooter-mega-death-PIECE-OF-$#!%.
for the following reasons.
1. added guns (while guns have been added in the past aka gun blades and various second player weapons, this was bull)
2. aeons were gone, no summoning class.
3. god @#$% dress up yuna game.
4. removal of key characters from mainstream story line. (kimahiri, lulu, wakka, etc.)
5. outfits........really, what needs to be said here?
6. removal of all male characters (hmmm, wonder why they did that.)
7. paine
8. finally. the story line. final fantasy X ending was perfect just the way it was.
Whoa. NOW THAT i believe is true honesty. I totally agree with you on this fact, although i thought X-2 was an okay game, it can never match up to the variety of ways you can play X.
Im talking about customising, maxing all stats, not needing a flaming accessory to break the damage limit.
And the fact the supposibly hardest boss in game is a pushover even at low levels ( i pwned him at lv50)

FF X-2 is without a doubt the worst FF i have ever played and i would also add that i was disappointed slightly with X too based on my experience with FF I through to IX

they sold out, they took a good game, and twisted it to fit the meater part of todays target market, namely the shoot-um-up bracket.
it just sickens me.
Well you don't have to use the "shoot-um-up" aspects of the game!

still, they pumped out the sequel way to quickly, i wouldn't have minded waiting another year or two if it meant the game would have been the equivalent of FFX, if not its better. the real problem with games today is that there made to quickly with no real time to prefect whats great about them.
