final fantasy origins
who in this forum has beaten final fantasy 2 from final fantasy origins. I need tips on how to beat it.

Don't watse time getting your gig spells up. Me? I beat the final boss with nothing more that Fire Ice and Bolt. Ultima? Used it like twice. In dungeons, I attack physcially with all characters to conserve MP.
FYI:
Firion: Acted as the White Mage/Attacker
Maria: Acted as a Black Mage
Gus: Attaker
Leon:Attacker/White Mage

when using ultima you need to level up all your weapons skills and spell levels since the sum of all of these times the ultima's level is the base damage(+/- 25% for true damage), this means that you should try to level up all the skills on the character with ultima, exit the area and level him up if you need to.
also try to grant your characters skills other than the class you want to train them in, you'll kick yourself if your sole white mage gets killed and you are out of pheonix downs if you don't teach life/cure to all of your characters just in case.
other than that just remember the basics, bulk up just in case(shell, protect and aura), cripple your foe(I think the final boss can still get hit by curse) and then blast it back to kingdom come, only healing if nesesary(I actualy just had 2 characters cast life over the whole party and 2 just smack the foe with their best skills(turned out it was ultima and flare both level 16).
