first, sorry for ma' english..
I played Final Fantasy since first game, back in old skool nintendo... then SNES, then when SNES era ended i forgot FF, just when i played 7 i couldnt believe it ! it was awesome, Final Fantasy was back !, then 8 was a complete crap to me, nothing to do with old skool, just a love story, cute characters, that was it !, it was a complete susces s, but i didnt like it, this game was made by another crew different from F1 to 6, when square decide to make the next game (final fantasy IX), they told that crew to work on the ps2 FF, and hired oldskool FFmakers to make FF9 !, so I found so nostalgic, acctually that was the FF 3d game that i was waiting for...

Just play it, its a good game. All FF games are equivalently good - they all have their advantages and disadvantages thats all.
