It is called Final Fantasy because it would be there FINAL game if it didnt sell they wouold have had to stop making games, and it was there FINAL FANTASY GAME they would have made, Square is about fantasy. Hense FINAL for the final game if it didnt succeed and FANTASY....because they made FANTASY games.

When Kimahri learns Thrust Kick, the coding for ejecting the enemy was taken out at the last minute. This means that there is tactically no difference between Thrust Kick and Seed Cannon as they have the same damage constant.
Life can be reflected off your characters even if they are KO'ed if they have auto-reflect armour.
Well known, but Geosgaeno (sp) can drop a No Encounters WEAPON.
Bosses do not change phases if they are not damaged outside of poison (hence it is possible to kill Natus by him only using multi-spells while poison kills him and Flux can be killed this way in his Cross-Cleave phase). They do however change forms if it changes due to HP being 0.
Tros can be poisoned, but it does 0 damage each turn.
Shinryu's Eraser and Dark Anima's Pain bypasses immunity.
Use reflect and a silver/gold hourglass on santuary keeper and he will realise he isn't as smart as it was intended (he uses haste about 80% of the time on himself which gets reflected).

just noticed this litterlly 5 minutes ago on accident
i was moving Yuna on the sphere grid and used a mana sphere i think and then went to return sphere and it let me move up one were i put the mana sphere
u can MOVE FOWARD ONE SPACE IF THERE IS A SPIECIAL SPHERE U CAN PUT THERE WITH A RETURN SPHERE awsome! i moved her up 2 withtit and Lulu after learning Death moved her back to the last aga spell ;-) awsome
Cactuar King's 10000 needles can be reduced to 2500 via aeon shield. However, this has no effect on 99999 needles (it does about 500k damage).
You can backtrack to Besaid to get the Jecht Sphere there as soon as you beat Spherimorph. However, this opportunity only lasts until you fight Crawler (the next boss). You can also backtrack just after Djose Temple.
A few of the crests/sigils for the Celestial weapons were switched since the original Japanese version.
The initials for Final Fantasy is FF. FF is the hexidecimal (computer numbering system) number for 255 (the max for most of the stats). Co-incidence? You decide.

I didn't mean to figure this out, but if you're in the middle of a mid-graphic cut scene-- (as in... there are three forms of graphics in FF X, battle, movie, and FMV)-- and open the disc drive, the camera will remain in the very same place, and the scene will continue without sound.
this has to do with x-2 more than to but around the end of the game shinra mentions that theres an abundant amount of life energy in the farplane and if studied more can be used as everyday engery, i think this was a tribute to the original shinra in final fantasy VII
