FFVII PC original music patch

I was wondering if anyone got the original music patch for their FFVII pc version and actually got it to work? i follow the instructions but it doesnt seem to work for me, dont know what the deal is but the original music isnt replacing the horrible PC midi music. any asistance would be appreciated
