Yeah I agree. Just leave the old games be. Work on new great games that will be come classics instead of leeching of the old for as long as you can.

I completely agree.
Final Fantasy IX is one of my favorites and to me it's one of the best games out there. After all the disappointments we have witnessed in the latest Final Fantasies; I refuse to see FFIX get ruined for whatever idiotic reason; money on top of the list. Some may say it won't be ruined, well; there is 99.9% chance it will be ruined and 0.1% it won't. If you want to honor the anniversary of FFIX just replay the game and beat it again.

you know now that u think of it i guess ur right they shouldnt do that its just think of it like 15 years later do u think SE wont change it. think about it how many people will have a playstation or a playstation to in the next 15 years. but i guess we will have to wait and see.

hmmm i may disagree with all of u  =D....cos if they remake a game, they dont have to change the story, the game play,, the characters, etc...the would just change the graphics!...could u imagine playing final fantasy VII with a non-blocky-hand cloud =D...or recognize the different emotions zidane does =D....could be able to see a tear coming out from garnet's eye.....i think it would be excelente ¬¬

I think that a change in grahics would ruin FF IX. Part of it's greatness is the way that emotions are expressed, in my opinion.
