FF7 Sonnet
An Ode to FF7
Based on William Shakespeare’s Sonnet 130
My chocobo’s feathers are nothing like the sun;
Corel is far more lively than her claws fast;
If magic be green, why then her beak is dun;
If feathers be straw, golden straw grows on her head.
I have seen zoloms impaled, bloody and aged,
But no such zoloms has she outrun;
And in some potions is there more delight
Than in the breath that from my chocobo reeks.
I love to hear her wark, yet well I know
That battle music hath a far more pleasing sound;
I grant I never saw a bikini goddess go;
My chocobo, when she walks, treads on the ranch.
And yet by Seventh Heaven, I think my love as rare
As any she raced with false compare.
