So far there's no really detailed trailer or info about the remake of the game. Why don't you check out the FFVII fan section, there's a topic about FFVII for ps3 there too. And looking from the SE planning in getting many sponsors for their game releases such as FFT Ivalice, FFVII Crisis core and FF Dissidia for psp...I'm not sure whether they're gonna release the game in PS3 console in the first place.
But one thing I think they shouldn't release FFVII remake into ps2, I mean PS3's engine is far more better they should make this classic game inside the latest and advanced console..maybe 360 but I'm sick of collecting consoles just for a game.

Actually the vid that started the rumors about a FFVII remake for PS3 was just created to show off the graphics for the PS3.
And I think that to release it on the PS3 would lose them some money for the simple fact that to even get the best graphic quality on the PS3 you not only have to spend lots of money on the PS3 but a lot more money on an HDTV with either 1080i or 1080p output capacity so to release on PS3 would be a bad idea not only that the friggin PS3 remotes (wireless remotes mind you) have a tendency to disconnect when you are in the middle of something so its a waste of money.

I think that it would save Square Enix if they remade FFVII without changin anythin cause if they changed it they would lose money maybe makin the whole materia system a little less complicated but thats it leave everything else in and just making it with Next Gen Graphics and leaving the turn based gameplay

yea it was confirmed in a Game informer about 2 or 3 months ago tht rite now they r not working on the title but it also said that square was surprised with the excitment over a possible ffVII remake so who knows just keep praying

I honestly couldn't care less about the re-make. The original game is good enough for me. I just won't understand why it's not good enough for other people.

1st off i cant get a hold of the old copy cuz it goes for lik $60 on eBay and 2nd some times bad grafix can kill lik i tried playin the old resident evil and it is so hard to navigate and know what to pik up bCuz of the grafix
