Also PSP can play all the old PS1 games as well, like FFVII, FFVIII and don't forget the remake of FF Tactics in PSP! ^^

thats only if u know how to mod, emulate, and then get custom firmware onto ur psp before getting the ps1 classics

no. if you have a ps3, you can download ps1 games to the ps3 and transfer them to the psp.

yeh but i think he ment downloading it directly onto the ps3 cuz if u already have the game u dont rlly need it on the psp 2

how?
if u have dont have the disc the only way to do is to mod ur psp and then get the ISO's but if u have the discs i dont know how u do it but all im saying is tht i doubt ppl really need it on both systems

look, sony just implemented a download program for the ps3. it's similar to that of the virtual console on the wii, to where you can download older games from the ps1. It's explained here

A Best Buy salesperson told me that if I buy the PS3 with the 80 hard drive it will play PS2 games. But only the 80 would do it. Is that true?

some of the ps2 games. not all. but yes, for the most part he is correct. the 40 gig is pretty much a waste of money because of some of the drawbacks, like the lack of backwards compatability. If you can get your hands on a 60 gig, that is probobly your best bet. if not, wait for the 120 gig system to come out next month.

yeah he didn't have any 80 gigs for sale and said they stopped making them and wouldn't have any more for a month. is the 120 replacing the 80? do you know if it will be backwards compatible?
