Alexiel administered the final blow on a Chimera, and sighed. Celeste glowed once more, and then went dim again. "Thanks Celeste. You're such a good friend." Alexiel whispered. No problem. Living this way is a lot of fun.Celeste replied in Alexiel's mind, and she had to chuckle. She looked around her surroundings. She was one a trail, that was just leading into a clearing. She still couldn't see any houses yet. She sighed. "Well, let's keep going, Celeste."
"Ahhhhhhhh! My face!" Surina stumbled back from her stool, her eyes covered with her clawed hands. Black soot covered her face, strikingly and surprisingly visible on her pitch black scales. "Oh that really hurts!" Her experiment had backfired. She was so close, this time being the closest. She grabbed a dirty rag and wiped her face off, sitting at the stool again. "Well, break's over. Back to work."
Why aren't you flying? Celeste questioned as Alexiel started running along the path. "Because, I can't. That disgusting beast chomped down on it, remember?" Alexiel retorted, rolling her eyes. Oh, yeah...sorry. Alexiel sighed. "Never mind...let's just focas on getting to people....I never was the greatest with wounds, and I can't just leave my wing like that."
A hour or so later, she finally entered a village. She used her magic to hide her wings with magic, to blend in more. Finally, getting rather worn out, she sat down outside a random home.
Why don't you knock, dummy? Inquired Celeste.
Alexiel rolled her eyes. Celeste could be blunt and rude sometimes. "Just because." she muttered. "And don't expect me to talk to you from now on when we're here, people will think I'm cokoo, talking to a sword like this."
Surina was just about to mix the reagents to try for the, oh what try was it again, oh yeah the thousandth time. She then heard someone talking outside her lab, worrying about something. She cast a simple True Seeing spell and looked out her window. She saw an angel that seemed quite beat up. Her wing was damaged beyond use and needed immediate attention. She popped her head back in and hurried outside. Draping her cloak over the figures shoulders, she whispered. "Come on in, let's fix up that wing of yours."
Itzi Bitzi came upon a village, hopefully he would find his next job here, slaying a pack of wild animals killing livestock or something similar, work was work. He looked around for a pub and approached a large building in the middle of the villlage. He squeezed through the door and looked around for someone or something that would indicate where he could find out if anything needed doing.

Alexiel looked up at Surina, slightly startled, then smiled a small smile and stood up. "Thank you.....but how did you know, about my wings...?" then she realized what it was and laughed at herself. "Wait, true seeing right? Of course. How dumb of me to ask."
She chuckled and ushered the angel into her home, closing the door. She immediately led Alexiel to her bedroom and sat her on the bed. Surina pulled out a couple vials and looked at the wing. "I don't think it is broken. Seems to be set correctly and no permanent or unholy damage present. Easy fix and you will need to rest for a day or two."
Alexiel smiled, and nodded. "I understand...I guess I can spare a couple days for rest." she unsnapped Celeste and her sheath from her hip, ignoring Celeste's rude cries of protest echoing through her mind, and gently set her down on the floor. She didn't know why, but she trusted this dragonborn, even though she didn't know much at all about her. She let her wings relax, and looked at Surina. "So, what's your name? I'm Alexiel."
Surina nodded. "I am Surina. This will burn for a few moments but it will heal up in the same time." She unstoppered the two vials and poured them onto the wound. She then wrapped it in bandages soaked in herbs. She then sat at Alexiel's feet. "What brought you to this small village?"
Alexiel's wounded wing twitched a little as the liquid and bandages were applied to the wound, but other than that, she refused to show her pain. She had been raised to endure much of it without complaint. She looked at Surina. "This was the first village since my... 'accident'..' she looked at her wounded wing. "That was on my route. I was looking for a way to heal myself..I'm glad I found it..and fairly quickly too." she gave a small smile.
Surina chuckled. Her black scales glinted in the candlelit room. "Well, if you want, you can come watch me with my latest project. It will at least relieve some of the boredom. Also, bring your sword. The spirit inside seems lonely."
Alexiel blinked at her. "You know about Celeste? Well, I guess I can talk to her now. I decided not to while I was here, so nobody thought I was nuts." Alexiel picked up Celeste, and her sheathe, and sighed. "She's a good friend, but has a rather rude mouth." she giggled.
She smiled and looked at Celeste. "I cannot hear her words, but I can sense her presence. She watches over you. I think she may be worried that I am hostile." Surina shrugged and started to walk to her lab.
Alexiel had to smile, as she followed Surina into the lab. "She thinks you have pretty keen senses. You're the first person to know she's there, without my telling." she looked around. "So, what are you working on?"
