How do I Level Up? After a certain amount of Experience Points have been gained, you will go up a level - level-ups occur only when you are posting. |

What are Bizzare Horns used for? Bizzare Horns are special items that can be mixed with other items to create special items in the Cauldron. They are secret items so we will let you find out what combinations work with them to create special items. Do not bother sending the admins an email or private message asking what combinations to use, we will not tell you. Back to top |

| Login and Registration Issues |
Why can't I login? Have you registered yet? You must register first in order to login. Have you been banned from funender.com? (a message will be displayed if you have) If so then you should contact the Administrator to find out why. If you have registered and are not banned and you still cannot login then check and double check your username and password. Usually this is the problem, if not then contact the board administrator they may have incorrect configuration settings for the board. Back to top |
Why do I need to register at all? Registration will give you access to additional features not available to guest users such as posting, definable images, private messaging, emailing of fellow users, usergroup subscription, hidden Forums, promotion of your site, submissions to stations, etc. It only takes a few seconds to register so it is recommended you do so. It is Totally Free to register. Back to top |
Why do I get logged off automatically? If you do not check the Log me in automatically box when you login the board will only keep you logged in for a preset time. This prevents misuse of your account by anyone else. To stay logged in check the box during login, this is not recommended if you access the board from a shared computer, e.g. library, internet cafe, university cluster, etc. Back to top |
I've lost my password! Don't panic! While your password cannot be retrieved it can be reset. To do this go to the login page and click I've forgotten my password, follow the instructions and you should be back online in no time Back to top |
I registered but cannot login! Firstly check your are entering the correct username and password. If they are okay then one of two things may have happened. If COPPA support is enabled and you clicked the I am under 13 years old link while registering then you will have to follow the instructions you received. Back to top |
I registered in the past but cannot login any more?! The most likely reasons for this are; you entered an incorrect username or password (check the email you were sent when you first registered) or the administrator has deleted your account for some reason. If it is the later case then perhaps you did not post anything? It is usual for boards to periodically remove users who have not posted anything so as to reduce the size of the database. Try registering again and get involved in discussions. Back to top |
What are the rules of this Final Fantasy site? The rules can be found by viewing the Forum Rules Page Located Here Back to top |
I get 'Sorry, but this e-mail address cannot be verified' when I try to register or change my email address The email address you enter is validated live over the internet, if this does not succeed you get this message. Usual reasons : you have mis-spelled the address, the user account does not exist, the mail server is over quota (mailbox full) or otherwise not responding properly. Back to top |
I get 'Could not connect to the mail server' when I try to register/change my email address There could be several reasons why you get this message, possibly there is a DNS failure (cannot get the IP address of the mail server from the hostname), or the host doesn't exist, or is offline. Back to top |
| User Preferences and settings |
How do I change my settings? All your settings (if you are registered) are stored in the database. To alter them click the Profile link shown at the top of pages. This will allow you to change all your settings Back to top |
The times are not correct! The times are almost certainly correct, however what you may be seeing are times displayed in a timezone different from the one you are in. If this is the case you should change your profile setting for the timezone to match your particular area, e.g. London, Paris, New York, Sydney, etc. Please note that changing the timezone, like most settings can only be done by registered users. Back to top |
What is my referral link? Your referral link is an automated system that keeps track of people who you have referred to the site. If you can get someone to register and post on the forums using your referral link, then you will earn Gil as a special bonus. You may post your referral link in emails, websites, pretty much anywhere that links are allowed. Please note that we have a ton of ways of detecting fake referrals, and any abuse of this system would result in negative action taken against your account. Back to top |
What is the signature box used for? A signature is a section where you can place text and links to be displayed automatically every time you post a message in the forums and private messaging. This saves the time for you having to enter your site link, or whatever info you want everytime you post. Members can locate your site a lot easier when they can simply click on the link located in your signature. Once created you can check the Add Signature box on the posting form to add your signature. Back to top |
I changed the timezone and the time is still wrong! If you are sure you have set the timezone correctly and the time is still different the most likely answer is daylight savings time (or summer time as it is known in the UK and other places). The board is not designed to handle the changeovers between standard and daylight time so during summer months the time may be an hour different from the real local time. Another reason could be that you have selected the wrong GMT time setting. Back to top |
My language is not in the list! The most likely reasons for this are either your language is not installed or someone has not translated this board into your language. The only current language installed at this time is English. Back to top |
What is the watched topics page used for? There is a new page where you can view all of the topics that you are currently subscribed to receive automatic email notifications on new replies. You can disable the topic watch feature via your profile settings to prevent automatic topic watching for any topic that you post in. To manually watch specific topics, you can check the "Notify me when a reply is posted" option when posting a new topic, or by clicking on the Watch this topic for replies link located near the bottom left side of a topic page. The topics watched page makes it easier for you to view and/or unwatch topics that you are no longer interested in. You can access the topics watched page by clicking on the View all topics you watching link located in the top right hand corner of your profile page. Back to top |
How do I display an Image under my username? Below your username is an image known as an avatar, this is generally unique or personal to each user. To upload your own avatar, you must go into your Profile settings and near the bottom you will find instructions on how to upload or link to an avatar of your choice. The size requirements are explained in that section of the avatar upload. Be sure not to upload any imagery that violates the rules of funender.com. Back to top |
How do I create my own personal image gallery? We have an image gallery that allows you to upload your own images that are viewable from your public profile. The main page for the album is located here. On this page you will see a link labeled "Your Personal Gallery." Click on that link and there you will see a button that reads "Upload Pic." Click on that button and the rest is self explainitory. If you have uploaded the image successfully it will appear in your personal gallery. A new "images" button will appear in the viewtopic page of your posts if you have uploaded images to your personal gallery. Back to top |
Why am I timing out while trying to upload an avatar? Sometimes Opera browsers experience problems uploading an avatar to your profile. Try using a different browser to solve this problem. Back to top |
How do I change my rank? In general you cannot directly change the wording of any rank (ranks appear below your username in topics and on your profile depending on the style used). Funender.com uses ranks to indicate the number of posts you have made and to identify certain users, e.g. FF Moderators, FF Experts, and FuNEnD3R have special ranks. Back to top |
When I click the email link for a user it asks me to login? Sorry but only registered users can send email to people via the built-in email form. This is to prevent malicious use of the email system by anonymous users. Back to top |

| Posting Issues |
How do I post a topic in a forum? Easy, click the relevant button on either the forum or topic screens. |
How do I create a poll? Creating a poll is easy, when you post a new topic (or edit the first post of a topic, if you have permission) you should see a Add Poll form below the main posting box (if you cannot see this then you probably do not have rights to create polls). You should enter a title for the poll and then at least two options (to set an option type in the poll question and click the Add option button. You can also set a time limit for the poll, 0 is an infinite poll. There will be a limit to the number of options you can list, this is set by the board administrator (FuNEnD3R) Back to top |
How do I edit or delete a poll? As with posts, polls can only be edited by the original poster, a moderator or board admin. To edit a poll click the first post in the topic (this always has the poll associated with it). If no one has cast a vote then users can delete the poll or edit any poll option, however if people have already placed votes only moderators or administrators can edit or delete it. This is to prevent people rigging polls by changing options mid-way through a poll Back to top |
Why can't I access a forum? Some forums may be limited to certain users or groups. To view, read, post, etc. you may need special authorisation, only FuNEnD3R can grant this access, you should contact him. Back to top |
| Formatting and Topic Types |
What is BBCode? BBCode is a special implementation of HTML, whether you can use BBCode is determined by the administrator (you can also disable it on a per post basis from the posting form). BBCode itself is similar in style to HTML, tags are enclosed in square braces [ and ] rather than < and > and it offers greater control over what and how something is displayed. For more information on BBCode see the guide located Here. Back to top |
Can I use HTML? The Administrator only allows BBCode instead of HTML on funender.com. Most BBCode functions perform the same actions as HTML used in forums. Back to top |
What are Smileys? Smileys, or Emoticons are small graphical images which can be used to express some feeling using a short code, e.g. :) means happy, and :( means sad. The full list of emoticons can be seen via the posting form. Try not to overuse smileys though, they can quickly render a post unreadable and a moderator may decide to edit them out or remove the post altogether Back to top |
Can I post Images? Images can be shown in your posts by placing the direct url to an image between the BBCode [IMG] and [/IMG] tags. There is also an Album for uploading images directly to this board which can be accessed via your forum profile. Back to top |
What are Announcements? Announcements often contain important information and you should read them as soon as possible. Announcements appear at the top of every page in the forum to which they are posted. Back to top |
What are Sticky topics? Sticky topics appear below any announcements in viewforum and only on the first page. They are often quite important so you should read them where possible. As with announcements the board administrator determines what permissions are required to post sticky topics in each forum. Back to top |
What are Locked topics? Locked topics are set this way by either the forum moderator or Administrator. You cannot reply to locked topics and any poll it contained is automatically ended. Topics may be locked for many reasons. Back to top |
What does Boost Mean? Boost is a word started by FuNEnD3R as a funender.com way of moving a topic up to the top of the first page. Anytime you post a reply on any Topic, it automatically is placed over the existing Topics. We reply using the word Boost so your topic can get more views to those who have missed it Back to top |
| User Levels and Groups |
What is an Administrator? The Administrator is assigned the highest level of control over the entire board. FuNEnD3R is the Administrator/WebMaster/Developer/Designer, Owner and creator of funender.com, and can control all facets of board operation which includes setting permissions, banning users, creating usergroups or moderators, etc. He also has full Moderator capabilities in all the forums. Back to top |
What are FF Moderators? Members chosen to be in the FF Moderator group are individuals who have the power to edit or delete posts and lock, unlock, move, delete and split topics in the forum they moderate. Generally Moderators are there to prevent people going off-topic or posting abusive or offensive material. Back to top |
What are User Stats? User Stats allow you to view the most active players in the Final Funender RPG game to go along with stats such as level, win/lose ratio, and other detailed information. Back to top |
What are Usergroups? Usergroups are a way in which FuNEnD3R can group users. Each user can belong to several groups and can be assigned individual access rights. This makes it easy for FuNEnD3R to set up several users as Moderators of a forum, or to give them access to a private forum, etc. Back to top |
How do I join a Usergroup? To join a usergroup click the usergroup link usually found on the top of the page. There you can then view all usergroups. Not all groups are open access, some are closed and some may even have hidden memberships. If the board is open then you can request to join it by clicking the appropriate button. The user group moderator will need to approve your request, they may ask why you want to join the group. Look for topics located in the forums where group moderators ask members to join their usergroup. Please do not pester a group moderator if they turn your request down, they will have their reasons. Back to top |
How do I remove myself from a usergroup? If you no longer wish to be part of a usergroup, simply go to the usergroup page and find the particular usergroup that you wish to leave. |
What is Karma used for? Karma is a symbol of both your status and activity in the forum. Each day that you visit the forum while logged in, you will receive one point of Karma. Please note that the karma system also has an advanced security program that automatically red flags anyone who attempts to cheat the karma system and will result in loss of karma or banning depending on the severity of the action. For more information view this topic. Back to top |
What are Spons? The new Spons system has been requested by supportive members who wish to contribute to this site more by making donations using real currency (not game gil). The Spon Charts reset every month to give everyone a chance to become a Top Sponsor. For more information view this topic. Back to top |
| Private Messaging |
I cannot send private messages! There are three reasons for this; you are not registered and/or not logged on, the Administrator has disabled private messaging for the entire board or the Administrator has prevented you from sending messages due to rule violations. Back to top |
I keep getting unwanted private messages! If you keep receiving unwanted private messages from someone inform the Administrator, he has the power to prevent a user from sending private messages at all. Back to top |
I have received a spamming or abusive email from someone on this board! The email form feature of this board includes safeguards to try and track users who send such posts. You should email the Administrator by using the contact page with a full copy of the email you received, it is very important this include the headers (these list details of the user that sent the email). They can then take action. Back to top |

| RPG Stats System & Battles |
What are the HP/MP bars (and other stats) in my profile for? HP stands for Hit Points, these are used during battles. MP stands for Magic Points, these are used during battles and sometimes when using items. ATT & DEF are your Attack and Defense stats for use in the battle system. Back to top |
Why don't you include the actual stat numbers beside the bars? That would take up more space and look messy, IMHO. If you mouse-over the bars, you can see the numbers though! Back to top |
What are Mastered Classes? Mastered classes are awards given to members who have completed the Final Funender RPG game with a certain class such as an Archer, Hero, Ninja, etc. You can view how many classes someone has mastered via their public forum profile. A list of master user stats are located on the User Stats page as well. In order to view the Mastered Class information from the User Stats page you will have to selected the "Mastered Classes" from the dropdown menu. Please note that you cannot master the same class twice, you will be rewarded the first time and you may beat the game with the same class that you have already mastered if you wish, but you will only receive 1 reward and record for each individual class. Back to top |
How do I increase these statistics? There are various items available to increase your stats, even your Attack and Defense stats. Your stats will also increase when you go up a level. Note that the max Prize Limit cannot be increased, it's the same for everyone. Back to top |
How do I go up a level? After a certain amount of Experience Points have been gained, you will go up a level - level-ups occur only when you are posting. Once you have gained enough experience to level up, your EXP will stop increasing until you have created a post to level up. Please not that you cannot level up by creating a new topic, you will have to post a reply in an existing topic such as the level up topic located here. Back to top |
How do I gain Experience Points? Various activities at the forums will earn you Experience Points, the most fun of which is probably using an Arena Ticket, to battle a monster for exerience. You can also gain EXP by posting new informative topics and posts in the forums as well. Back to top |
Why are my stats turning red? When your HP stat turns red that means you are low on health and it is a good idea to use an HP healing item, stay at the Inn, or camp to restore your HP. When your EXP turns red, that is letting you know that you are about to level up. Once you have maxed out your current EXP points you can post in the Level Up Topic to gain a level. Back to top |
How do I fight in the Arena? Simply go into the headquarters page which is referred to as the RPG Game. There you will see many options including the Battle Arena where you can fight the Brumos. Back to top |
Where is the slot machine? The slot machine link is located in the main shop page near the bottom of the shop categories. You can play the slot machine to gain extra gil. Back to top |
Why are there so few items on my list in the Arena? Certain items can only be used in battle when you reach a particular level or are a particular class. At low levels, you'll only be able to use few lesser weapons, armour or spells. As you progress, you'll be able to use tougher weapons, spells and items in battle. Note that Spells will only be available to you if you are at a high enough level/right class to use them, and have sufficient MP. Back to top |
How much MP does it cost to cast a Spell in the Arena? The amount of MP a spell costs is listed in it's shop information. Back to top |
Why do some monsters take longer to defeat than others? The Monsters' stats are generated based on your own stats.. This means monsters will vary from being marginally weaker than you, to much stronger, and so some will be easy to defeat, some will take a while... or defeat you! Back to top |
After the battle I was low on HP/MP, how can I get them back? Healing items are available at the shop to replenish your stats, and if you check your profile every day, you will replenish some of your stats too. This happens based on your joining date and time, so if you joined the forums originally at 2pm, that's the time your stats will be ready to replenish each day. Note that only a certain amount (based on your maximum stats) will be replenished each day, so you will not necessarily be at full HP/MP after you have replenished your stats. You can view how much time is remaining until your stats replenish themselves in your profile that reads "Replenish Time" located near your avatar. Back to top |
What is the difference between Camping and the Inn? Camping is free to use, but it is very dangerous. While camping you could get robbed, poisoned, or attacked. However there is a small chance that you will find money in the Camp as well. The Inn costs money but is a safe place to sleep to restore your stats. There is also an additional service that you can pay to remove any status effects such as poison, muddle, or curse at an extra charge. Back to top |
I was poisoned/muddled!! Help?! Antidote's what you need! Back to top |
I was cursed!! Help?! Fairy Powder's what you need! Back to top |
I died in battle, how do I revive? Go to Headquarters and select the 'Revive' option! It'll cost you though! It will only replenish some of your HP and MP and not all of it. Back to top |
I died in battle, and now my stats don't replenish and I can't use healing items! Why? This is an option controlled by the forum Admin, and is perfectly normal if they've disabled replenishing/healing when users are at 0HP. Back to top |
How do I know what items I can use in battle? Any items which can be used in battle have their battle info listed in their shop information, for example the classes which can use it, the level you must be at and the MP cost, if any. Back to top |
What is the Record Book option in HQ for? This feature allows you to store notes using your own computer's cookies which is secure and only viewable by yourself or anyone else who has access to the computer that you have used to store information into the task list page. Back to top |
What is the Promote option in HQ for? When you reach a certain level, you can promote to a higher class, allowing you to use better items and equipment. Back to top |
Why is there only one Class I can promote to? Each Class has only one standard promotion (if any), though some may also have Special Promotions. You can only receive a Special Promotion through the use of certain items. Good luck finding them! Back to top |
I found an item which is for a Promoted Class but the level listed is lower than the promotion level... why? The item 'level' is determined based on it's strength, so although the item may be of level 7 strength, you may not actually be able to use it until you are promoted. Back to top |
What is the point of escaping a battle using a spell or item, when I can just close the browser window? When you use an Arena Ticket, a point is deducted from your Prize Item usage limit (assuming the Admin has set it up this way), so by closing the browser down, you are effectively wasting a Prize Item usage. If you use a spell or item to escape the battle, you'll at least gain some experience for it! Back to top |
Can I battle against other forum members? At the moment, this feature is not available. Back to top |
How do I use the auction system? You may have up to 5 auctions running at once, with up to 10 items in each auction set. From the main auction page, you can create a new auction, browse existing auctions or place a bid. A 'buy price' can be set for auctions, however this disappears after a bid is placed. The system is mostly automated, so when you start an auction, the items you are selling are removed from your collection, and stored in the auction. When the winning bidder pays at the end of the auction, the items are automatically given to them, and the Gold transferred to you. If the auction ends with no winner, it will automatically close and return the items to you. Winners have 3 days in which to pay for the auction, after which time the seller may close the auction and retrieve their items. If after 7 days the winner has not paid, and the seller has not closed the auction, it will be automatically closed and the items returned to the seller. Various notifications are sent via the Private Message system to let you know when an auction has been paid, bought, closed etc, or if you are the winning bidder. Back to top |
