Hark...ejaculated.
Sooo guys, what's up? I'm considering joining this here RP. I've been addicted to FO3 for a while now, so why not extend it even further, right? (Can't wait for New Vegas)
I'm going to write up a character profile for kicks, and see what you guys think.
Bio: Naomi's father was a slaver, and her mother a slave. Her childhood was odd, as she struggled to please everyone, both the slavers, and the slaves. As she grew older however, she leaned gradually towards the slavers. Both because she disliked the idea of becoming a slave herself, and because she could feel a darker calling within her. Also with age, she became less and less social, and eventually, she left the slavers altogether in order to live on her own in the wasteland. It's been 5 years since she set out on her own, and time has changed her. The few people who have interacted with her civilly would describe her as a vicious beast, an animal that prowls the wastelands, killing for food and eating even her own kind. Naomi's instincts have gotten the better of her, and she thoroughly enjoys the savagery that she has embraced.
Naomi takes great pleasure in hunting and feeding. The only rule in life is kill or be killed. Naomi loots and devours almost everything she kills. She doesn't get along well with people and prefers to work alone, however there are times when she may group temporarily with others, usually raiders, in order to further her own ends. She only even gets along with raiders because they live a lifestyle similar to her's. Naomi has also developed an serious addiction to alcohol.

Also, a question. Are we capable of doing things that would realistically be doable, despite the fact that they are unavailable ingame. For example, Naomi is carrying two sawed-off shotguns with the intent of dual wielding them. Dual wielding is unavailable in Fallout, at least 3 anyways (I hope to god it's in New Vegas), but it's completely doable in real life. And after all, she has 8 agility and 50 Small Guns skill, so I'd figure she'd be more than capable of doing so.
Um... seriously dude it's not doable to dual wield assault shotguns, far too much recoil, you'd break your wrist. you can dual wield anything you can notmally hold in one hand like say 10mm pistol, 10mm SMG, you'd have to take a hit to your accuracy though cos even though the games doesn't animate it, in real life you'd hold those guns with two hands anyway for better control and accuracy, I'd say if you found a chinese sword you can dual wield that with your katana too, but you'd probably only be effective with that setup if you upped your melee weapons skill a bit.
Sawed-offs are one-handed weapons. They have serious drawbacks compared to regular shotguns because they were made to be one-handed. In fact, in FO3, any ablilities/perks you have that only affect one-handed weapons (ie Gunslinger) affect them. As trade-offs they deal less damage, they have a much wider spread, and they have absolutely no ammo capacity outside of the barrels themselves. Meaning you've got 2 shots before you have to reload them.
