Naomi sighed as she looked down upon the monstrosity that she'd slain. "I really didn't expect Deathclaws here..." She muttered to herself. Her long steel sword stuck out of its chest like a flag in the ground, signifying her triumph over the beast. She took a second to reflect upon the encounter, for it had happened so quickly that she wasn't entirely sure what had happened. She remembered hearing the beast growling behind her. Then she had turned around with one of her shotguns drawn, but before she had time to aim the creature was already close enough to hit her with its massive claws. She fired the gun instinctively, and the entirety of the buckshot plowed straight into the beast's face. The creature fell backwards from the impact, she dropped the shotgun, drew her sword, and leaped upon the creature, thrusting the blade straight through its heart.
She had been very lucky, and she knew it. This Deathclaw was weak, and it was alone for whatever reason. She ripped the sword out of the creature's chest, causing blood to escape from the wound at an extraordinary rate. She then sheathed the sword and strolled over to the gun she had dropped, picked it up, and holstered it.
She thought about the way the creature attacked her for a minute. It became apparent that it had set up a home in this area. A Deathclaw wouldn't ravage through the wasteland searching for prey in such a state. She decided to travel in the direction the creature had attacked her from. After all, where there's a Deathclaw home, there's dead victims. "What I wouldn't do for a good meal right about now..."

Max makes his way up to his shabby little room and heads straight for his bed. almost instantly he is asleep..
during his sleep Max starts having flashbacks of the encounter inthe vault. He can see all his friends and family being slaughtered.
all the screaming rings through his head.
all the blood shoots past is face.
Max bolts upright swearing buckets and panting.
He decides to take a stroll in the night breeze and clear his head

Naomi found the Deathclaw's little camp rather quickly. It was no wonder the creature had attacked her, had she been dangerous she would have been a threat upon its territory, and otherwise would have made for easy prey. She found the stash of corpses easily, and rifled through the only intact one. He didn't have anything of value. Not even anything worth trading.
She stood up, drew her katana, and began to carve up the body. The legs were always her favorite part, and this time was no different. As soon as she had one of the legs cut open she placed the katana to the side and began to savagely rip the muscles away, devouring everything she got her hands on.
When she finished she felt quite satisfied, and dared to think that the encounter with the Deathclaw was worth it. She rose to her feet and recovered the discarded katana, sheathing it. Just as she was ready to leave, she felt the craving again. She pulled a bottle of Vodka from her pack and downed it all at once. As she was turning around to leave her right hand came into contact with the side of her face, and she realized that she was soaked in blood. As much as she didn't really mind being covered in blood, she figured that if she were to run into any other humans, it wouldn't be the most inviting look. She turned around and found a few scraps of the dead man's clothing that had remained untouched by the red paint that so brilliantly decorated the surroundings. She used them to wipe the blood from her face before moving on.

walking around the outskirts of the small settlement, Max see's a few dogs rummaging through some bins and trash.
the dogs suddenly smell Max and instantly start to run at him.
with his right hand Max hooks one of the dogs while grabbing his BB gun from his pocket with his left hand.
shooting the three dogs in front of him Max suddenly feels a sharp cold claw scratch down his back.
everything seemed to slow down and Max spins around hitting the dog with another right hook
