E3 2009
Well... it hasnt kicked off yet but i have a feeling most of the news is going to be coming from sony this year. with nintendo doing its own thing all the time and making cooking game after cooking and still somehow making boat loads of money, i cant imagine anything really exciting coming from them.
i know something with konami is coming which has the face of big boss plastered all over it, so it might be a new metal gear game... somehow.
also, they might put out gran turismo mobile for the psp, along with the almost for sure announcement of the new psp model, one with no UMD slot.
also, mag will be fully playable in a 256 player game so we will hear all about that.
um.... we might also hear something from valve about the new episode of half-life so that would be cool though not sony news of course.
anyone else feel this year is gonna force the companies to be better since the economy is in the crapper?
im hopeful.
thoughts!?!?!

I don't expect to be all that surprised. If you frequent game news sites you probably have an idea for what will be announced anyway. Though there's always the possibilities of being pleasantly surprised at something you had never heard of before.
I personally hope to see more footage of Final Fantasy XIII, am interested to see where the Metal Gear series will go from here, and I'm actually hoping to see some new IPs.

i have pretty low expectations for this year's e3
i am looking for nintendo to surprise me though
sony nvr wows me at e3
i will be dumfounded if microsoft gets a new 3rd party exclusive

I think Sony will have a few new 1st party games announced. Mixture of PS3 and PSN games. I also hope they give release dates for White Knight Story and Demons Souls.
MS probably have a major exclusive to unveil / take from the PS3. FF13 last year, this year who knows.
In Nintendos case maybe they will have learned from last year as it was the most embarrassing press conference out of the 3.
Overall though it doesent really matter. We're well into this gen now and theres enough to play on every console.

Im hoping microsoft talks about their 300,000 person realtime game.
256 people at one time? meh.
also, this year might be a good year to announce a new console. im sure we will have a new console in 2010, so it will be this E3 or next E3.
and im glad to see that E3 is growing back to its former glory.
