No matter how hard they try, people won't listen. Especially in an 'ad' that long. Accidents like this happen so often in Australia, like at least every month with young drivers/groups. The main problem here though is that it's not just alcohol, it's drugs and sometimes they are sober and just being stupid in their big ass V8 car or wrx. On tv here there's ads for driving every 5 minutes, like "dont creep over the speed limit" or don't do drugs and drive etc.
I think that we actualyl have a much more disturbing ad, one where it's like a normal day with a mum taking her kids to school, but because the boy in the back seat isn't wearing a seatbelt, in a collision his impact on the front seat kills his mum. Yes, apparenlty people still don't wear seatbelts.
of all the stupid stupid decisions ive made in my life time, ive yet to drink and drive. I dont know how A: anyone can enjoy getting so messed up they dont know whats going on and B: they think driving while under the influence is a good idea.
like, talking to my parents, they used to drink and drive all the time and i was just shocked. it was different back in the 60's law wise, but even so, just terrible.
dangerous, that's the word for it -.-
although....of all the horrible accidents that have happened on the highway, it's not the driver's fault...ppl decide they are fast enough and run over the highway
so they are literally torn apart, and most of the times one or two drivers die too -.-
anyway, drinking and driving is stupid, i can't understand why young ppl do it...

I lost a highschool friend who got hit by a drunk driver. Drinking and driving causes harm to everyone, not just the idiot who did it. The man responsible is incredibly lucky that I don't know his name. Though I suppose I am as well because if I did I would have done something reckless and stupid by now.
The point is that until you're ready to accept the consequences of taking the lives of every man, woman, and child on the road, don't do it. And if you think that you are, then you aren't.
